Exactly....got it in one?. So stripping away the bull....t, Luton Town and Jone's lied through their teeth to make themselve 's look affronted and the good guys, while the whole time they were doing a Boris, and knew the entire time that Naismith was leaving, because they are a bunch of cheapskate mofo's. Yet again, it portray's what a horrible little football club they are? Not only lying to the media, but also to their own supporters.............what a vile, pathetic team.
Think this is a bit strong on the hatred. Personally have enjoyed watching Luton do well and especially with the resources they’ve had at this level.
Admittedly some sour grapes in the transfer on their behalf, but it would be exactly the same here if we lost a merited player to say a West Brom or Sheffield United when they are in the same league.

One of the most bizarre call ins that I have ever seen. Imagine declaring that information on a national radio! He even starts to name players before Simon Jordan tried to stop him and warn him.
Utterly ludicrous that…

Refreshing to seemingly having a plan with our recruitment this season and getting players in for our system, instead of the random scattergun approach we have been accustomed to in previous seasons.
Get the bulk of our business done early and consider offers when they come in for our main assets - then we are in a better position to know how to navigate the latter end of the window.

For me football is completely about entertainment. Yes I want us to win every game, but there is a trade off between success and entertainment.
Admittedly with Swansea's side, I think they are underachieving more so than ourselves. But at the same time I would take being where they are as a club over where we are at this moment in time.

Yes. I expected middle-eight, kinda hoped for 13th. We will improve too as tweaks are made, players evolve partnerships etc.
Personally love your optimism but have to disagree on where I think we should be. If we finished top 8 with this squad I would be astounded however think we will be middle / lower half of the pack, probably 14th.

The reality is before the season started no-one would've predicted we would have been 10th after 10 games.
It's clearly better than expected and the progress in a relatively short space of time is obvious.
Agreed but I’m more talking performance based. Are you happy with how we are performing this season, regardless of the results?
-
Okay so I know tonight wasn't what we expected after the last 2 games but some inconsistency should be expected, especially in the championship.
What's the overall view after the magical 10 games? are we behind or ahead of where you thought we would be?
Personally I feel that before the start of the season I would have taken 21st as I always thought we'd struggle this season, especially as most of this squad were here from the end of last season. I think it's steady progression. I know all supporters want instant success but its all about the proccess (yes I'm sounding like O'Driscoll now) but it's how we will achieve long term success in a competitive league! I feel adjusting my predictions, I would take a 14th placed position and give Nige more time to develop his own squad.
Verdict: Nige is doing an okay/slight above average job with what his terms are and I fully expect him to transform this team in 18 months...

Been quality this season and I can't say I expected that.

I'm angry at him tonight but at the same time want to give him some slack. He's 22 and he has a very Pogba'esque style so I can understand why he infuriates. He will split fans and he needs to start being consistent or even the leaninent supporters will quickly turn on him.

Patience very much the key here. Pearson knows it. Left with the likes of Palmer, O’Dowda, Bakinson to name but a few - these won’t have many takers if any at all. These are coasters. He needs a few windows for sure.
Can't agree more. We have a lot of players who you want to shift as a manager but at the same time there are no takers. All i can say is I'm happy to give the fairly young (Bakinsons and Palmers) a chance for this year but would expect an upgrade next season if consistency doesn't improve.

Bakinson was a shining light last season and a problem this season. Football is a funny ol' game but don't write the kid off yet.

This season was all about consoldation for me so I'll take a few uninspiring performances if it gives a platform to build on.

So I have what I believe is a few neutral points for tonight.
Bentley made a poor save first half tonight which was down his throat and he palmed it in to the danger area, for their striker to miss a sitter.
kalas was very solid tonight, first half especially. Atkinson also got his body in the way of most crosses.
I thought Massengo and James were solid but unspectacular. Done what they needed to and Massengo more of the clearing up work, whilst James more of the start of attacks.
I enjoyed an early sub as Pearson recognised Scott wasn’t effective and was pro-active.
I thought Dasilva for Pring wasn’t a bad move as Pring wasn’t effective tonight - as much as he has been the last 2 games.
I thought but Bentley was poor in the air and could do with a more decisive keeper in these situations to claim an easy cross.
altogether I’d give a 6/10, they probably had better chances to win it but it’s always depressing when’s we concede late. We are cursed at home and frustrating we can’t get a win.

I mean realistically they should go up and at minimum be top 6. Anything other than that and there’s something gone seriously wrong.
Pressure is on. Ashton being hailed as a hero but that could soon be challenged if their superstars don’t gel.
FYI I think they will be the team to get it together after Christmas and either win the league or come second, after a poor start. I want him to fail but think with Ipswich’s set up, they have to get some success in a fairly competitive league.

I forgot how bad the standard of football is in league one, can’t say I’ll be in a rush to watch another game anytime soon.

A decent game today but not his best for sure. He's what I was hoping Massengo would be when we signed him (I think Massengo is decent but way behind Bakinson at the minute and forseable future).

Just out of curiosity, when do we expect to see Taylor Moore play? Surely he didn't come from Lens to sit on the bench? I personally expected him to come in a week after arrival for Little.
-
Just realised he's on the bench my bad!

Surprised there's no Jamie Paterson tonight, would of thought he'd be a starter after last game. Is he injured? Or is it just the depth in our squad?

Scott’s positioning in midfield has been very good. Such a versatile player. Have to enjoy him when he’s here because he’s going to be playing at the top level sooner or later.
