Well back in April there were rumours that Nigel Pearson could return to Leicester, and I think for family reasons King hoped that would come to fruition and he would return home.
Shame at the end of the match they didn't have a medal to give to him. Prince William having to explain to him and Kevin De Bruyne that he had no medals to give to them as they'd run out! Surely someone in the FA could count as to how many medals they would need.
Always find it interesting that being a reasonable/good footballer may get you a managers job, but it's the less successful players have the better managerial career
Played in the right system I think he will do well. Technically gifted, just tried to hard to score a goal and don't forget he's only 21 so dont write him off his best years are probably still to come.
I'm not giving a pop at Southgate just saying I think he could have given others such as,Watkins a chance rather than playing the tried and tested. We know what the vast majority of the team can do so let's see some of the others.
Don't know what Ollie Watkins has done , not to get in the team. Thought it would have been the ideal suite of games. Gareth is always saying he picks players on form but obviously not in Watkins case.
