  1. £35m to build UWE, £8m to pay off Higgs £3m to pay off Wonga £20-30m to buy a team to get to championship. That's an investment of £66-76m before you even start thinking about ongoing losses of paying players £5k a week with crowds averaging 10 k at absolute max.
  2. Down the back of the sofa they scavenged from the council tip?
  3. Charlton have brought on Megan Fox, d'you think she'll be closely marked.
  4. Given the bitchfest that's broken out on nearly all the other threads about who should or shouldn't be the next manager and who is or isn't ITK, thinking about the sags' court appeal offers a bit of life relief. Whilst I've throughly enjoyed their travails over the last two years there's part of me that wants them to build their new stadium. In all the 50 years I've been following the City we've never had a decent away end in which to sing our songs whilst playing the sags. It would be nice at sometime in the future to travel to S. Glos with 4000 odd of us and really belt out "drink up thee cider" whist watching our brave boys in red giving their sad sorry rag asses a proper football hiding.
  5. Pearce looked to be carrying quite a gut in the publicity photos during the week. Obviously needs games and could be off the pace until he gets match fit.
  6. He's playing a tactical blinder fighting the French as General Kutuzov in "War and Peace", so not a bad shout.
  7. It has come to my attention that the "great unwashed" don't have a game this weekend. Would someone be kind enough to explain how this unlikely turn of events has come about.
  8. Your father had the shipfitter's blues.
  9. After all the nonsense spouted by all and sundry these last few days, I'm just looking forward to a game of football. Come on the pride of Bristol.
  10. As opposed to Stockwood Syndrome, which is the state of paranoia caused by your fifth flagon of scrumpy.
  11. Any news on costs. If Judge Judy has ordered that the sags pay Sainsburys costs it really will be Goidnight Irene.
  12. Perhaps it's wishful thinking, but the fact that the gas dominated Evil has been pumping out stories about how attractive an investment the sags are, makes me suspect the club has had a sight of the findings of Judge Prowedman and the news isn't good. Softening them up for the bad news I think it's called.
