I reckon 3-1 win for Reading today. They are a solid team and we are letting in goals like they are buy one get one free.

This really is poor. At 2-0 Burnley weren't trying for 25 minutes of the second half and then instantly they get a 3rd, and then a 4th. We're toothless, hopeless, gutless and the manager is clueless. COTTS OUT

Burnley just sitting back on 2-0 and letting us do what we want with the ball but we are still creating absolutely nothing !

No changes for the second half tells us all we need to know, we should have taken off a defender and brought on another attacker, at least have a go at getting back into the game. I have a feeling Baker will get sent off today.

This is terrible.

It's looking like it will be a long season.

It's never his fault .......

They hit us on the break in the first half for the first goal, which resulted in a corner which they scored from. Then we looked shell shocked that having all the play we were 1-0 down, and they got another quickly from a set piece. After that they sat back seeing us as no danger and made no attempt to attack at any stage in the 2nd half. Had Burnley wished to, they could have probably gone for a 3rd but they never needed to and were always comfortable.

Our team may be suited to the system, but the system or the players are not good enough playing this system at this level. Defensively we are vulnerable and not organised, and when we attack we leave ourselves wide open. On the break we move the ball well but there is no final 3rd product, whether it be the ball to the strikers or the strikers attempts. 7/8 of our current team are good enough, sadly 3/4 are not and unless we are prepared to pay the wages required, this will be a long season. Our options on the bench are also poor, as realistically none of our bench is good enough for this division.

Yes they were but we push forward and leave ourselves vulnerable and we have done nearly every game this season. Burnley didn't even try in the second half, and we created little.

Consolation goal, full time 1-2. We need a creative midfielder and a striker, plus we need to revert to 4-4-2 we're not good enough at the back when teams come at us under this current formation.

3-5-2 doesn't work. He are too vulnerable for counter attacks and Burnley have had to do nothing second half, just sit back and watch us pass it around ourselves and produce nothing ! Was too easy for Burnley. Possession means nothing without goals.

Literally 1 chance in the second half, we're sitting on the ball well, but doing nothing with it, and causing Burnley no concern so they are happy to just sit back and watch us pass it about in midfield creating nothing. Burnley happy with 2-0 and nothing in the game to suggest the scoreline will change. We are not creative enough and when we get a chance in on goal, the finishing is poor.

No real chances for us in 2nd half and Burnley very much sitting on this fixture, and we're not really creating anything. Comeback doesn't look on so far ...

Agree completely, but there is no plan b and that will fundamentally be our undoing.

You only have to listen to how annoyed Cotts is at present by his interviews and he is clearly frustrated. He has already intimated we can't afford the players we want. Look at Cotts history at clubs, he has never been a fighter. he's very much sing when you're winning. In his own words "I can't sell this club anymore than I have tried to". Basically gives me the impression that he feels that the club just doesn't appeal to bigger players or we can't compete with wages. Also he stated the other day it was down to the players we have to put us on the map, but deep down I think he feels the majority of this crop just haven't been good enough to make the step up. I'll probably be wrong but I just don't get the impression he will stick it for a fight and his whinging is always aimed at someone or something else, he never takes personal blame. Just get the feeling if we fail to sign anyone before Tuesday and if things don't pick up, he will walk.

It is true we can, but we won't. A draw would be a fantastic result now but got a feeling things could get worse in the 2nd half. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cotts walk tomorrow.
