  1. A good effort but must remember poor league position dictates changes.

Bobby Reid too lightweight at this level, Burns shows glimpses but so so raw and could do with a loan move out...not knocking him at all but just feel some experience st league 1 would be beneficial for him

good to see wagstaff get a run out but clearly no long term future here.

The only draw back of this new formation is that we create little, but certainly seems more stable at the back....and as my old colleague told me (studied football statistics for his dissertation)....it's not goals scored that keeps you in divisions, it's goals conceded (or lack of) that makes all the difference

  2. I disagree, they were shit. The only time they had the ball was when we gave it to them and they lost it pretty quickly every time. If we'd played like that I'd have been fuming. It was only defensive due to ineptitude.

Disagree, along with Brentford both sides are very average, we should be beating them....but didn't think they were shit.

Without Bamba granted then I'd agree with you.

  3. Leeds were shit. Absolutely shit. We had to make two mistakes in a row to give them a four on one and they still needed a dive and a penalty to turn it into a goal. They scored their only other chance whilst we were down to ten men. Both were our own naivete more than anything Leeds actually did.

Getting two goals at the end of the game was psychologically nice especially given the obnoxious opposition but in truth we created enough to get three points handily and on another night would have. Kodjia is threatening and when he finds his feet will score at a good rate, Robinson looked effective and Bryan again delivered a lot of quality from the left.

Defensively we need to wise up and realise that last year we could go adventuring up the pitch safe in the knowledge that most mistakes weren't capitalised on - at this level we can't. Once we do that, and with a few key signings (two midfielders, two centre halves) we'll be fairly competitive I think.

They weren't shit. They were very very defensive. And it nearly worked.

  4. Some of you City fans need to get real and hearing your manager as well saying it wasn't a sending off then he is a total idiot since when has head butting a players not a sending off offence.

We had to make changes as our two best players were out ok you had your player sent off and first half we didn't take advantage of the situation but second half you hardly got out your half and we hit the bar twice and 19 shots at goal look at the stats you had one shot all game from a team that you lot were supposedly going to spank us 3 or 4-0.

We are far better in possession of the ball than you are and your mistake was to try and rough our young players up from the start which must have come from your manager so he has to take some of the blame.

Get your rose tinted glasses off the best team won and really it should have been by two or three goals not just the one and it would have been an injustice if you had got something from the game.

We know we are the best footballing side in the league and with our two best players back we will be even better at your place.

We fear no one and you played a proper football team today and lost accept the defeat I said yesterday you have to lose sometime there is no way you were going to go the season without losing games as every team will lose games.

All the supposed best team we have beaten Sheff utd - Preston now you lot.

As for Aden Flint he was well out of order at the end of the game and he needs to remember who gave him his chance in league football.

Look forward to seeing you at your place and by the way just to remind you we drew last year with 10 players.

Sweet result and deep down you all know we are a good side with two better players to come back in.

    Slightly embarrassing.

  5. I can say with a fair high level of certainty that if it was the other way around, be it against Swindon or S****horpe. Very large sections of your fan base would absolutely love it.

That's not your point though, granted.

I think if we had beaten swindon or S****horpe and some of out players ran around the pitch celebrating then most of the fan base would be, um, confused.

I mean we beat MK Dons in a bigger game then today and nothing happened.

  6. This maybe true, I don't know. It's been debated a lot on here over the years.

But the point I would raise is, so what? It shouldn't affect you one iota if one set of fans enjoy beating a reasonably local side, who are having a great season and were unbeaten in the league - and didn't we all know about that (this is why I adhere to what goes around, comes around).

Instead, like many others, you decide to dwell on the fact that a home side have thoroughly enjoyed a win.

I think the point is that the players were slightly embarrassing....i can't remember a time when I've seen it happen.

And like I said previously it's actions that sums swindon up in terms of people and place....odd and strange.

  7. With respect to people from Swindon, having lived their for a year they generally don't have much mental capacity.....generally very very thick and clueless on life in general.

Just shows the difference between a city like Bristol compared to an odd town like swindon.

I'm not sure why they were celebrating so much at the end of the game....I'm assuming the players aren't from swindon but maybe the "odd" town mentality is rubbing off on them.
