They're not the club though, are they mate? They're just ships that pass in the night, so to speak. It's, er, us, we're the club. Can you get enthusiastic about us?

Enthusiastic about our fans? We've got a good loyal core support, but we aren't the decision makers are we?

I'd like to see some real progress on the pitch, some serious ambition and investment in the playing squad from our owners. But I'm not holding my breath.

We don’t have good attacking talent. Nige knew that too. Maybe Manning gave this team more credit than it deserved that it could adapt to his playstyle and thus we had a poor run in there. Idk but we need to revamp the forward players massively. Something that would have needed done under either manager.

He has seemingly stabalised a bad situation. Think that is growth from him. He hasn’t perfected his craft yet. That is ok. He should be looked at the same way as a new 19 year old midfielder we would be looked at. Plenty of promise but may need to understand some bumps in the road.

Some good points there. But (and I know it's been done to death) we were sold a pup by the chairman and Tinnion with this front foot bollocks.

And do you think our owners will be investing enough to buy these quality forward players that we so clearly need?

I have very little faith in seeing a marked improvement next season.

Standard meltdown on here. No idea why we should be winning these type of games on the road. Yes it wasn't the best but you make sure you get something out of the game which we did.

It's the total lack of attacking intent and quality on show. Are you enjoying this football under Manning? It's turgid.

What is strange about it?   I am astounded that you have jumped on the "Manning out" bandwagon....considering he has had one transfer window?  I have always respected your opinion, but on this occasion i cannot help but feel you are way off target.  It is not a 'Pop" but merely an observation, that in my opinion , instead of using logic and commonsense, you  are being swept along by the negativity that prevails on this forum.   I am confident that next season we will be in the top 6 under LM.  He is NOT going anywhere, so we better get used to it?

Confident we will be top 6 next season? That's an extremely bold call!!

    Pathetic.

Why is that pathetic? I think his point is take a hammering to speed up the removal of this hopeless manager and perhaps send a message to this board and technical director that they don't have a clue. I'm inclined to agree that's better for us in the long run than another few months of drift and a relegation dogfight next season.

Not going or watching on TV. Soooo disillusioned.  Mrs Marmite said "what's up with you?". I said I'm fine, it's the club that's sick.

I'm with you. At home today and all I need to do is switch the telly on but I've decided I'd rather do some decorating. Not sure I'll bother with another game this season, completely disillusioned like you say.

I was planning to write something similar, but don't think I could've put it better myself.

Today was undoubtedly an improved performance, but ultimately it's a 4th consecutive defeat for us.

There have been a fair few posts on the forum tonight along the lines of - "Ipswich are quality, we gave it a go. What more could we want?"

Granted, Ipswich are flying at the moment, but we were 2-1 up with 15 minutes to play against a team in the same division as us. How can we come away with 0 points from that position and simply be happy that we gave them a decent game?

Do we really have that little self respect? That little self belief? That little ambition?

If we come away from a night like tonight feeling positive, what does that say about where we are as a club? And what does that say about who we are as a club?

    👏👏👏👏👏

This is what we’re reduced to now. We’ve lost our fourth game in a row to a club who’ve just spent four years in League One, but it’s OK because “we gave it a go”. So what if it felt different. It felt different against Southampton and we’ve lost every game since then. I have zero faith in Manning now, and even less faith in the people that put him there.

Meanwhile Ipswich join the long list of clubs that emerge from the depths of lower league football and pass us on the way up.

    Sick of this club.

My thoughts exactly. Sick and tired of the losers mentality that pervades this club.

A lot of people on here attack me whenever I say it but this club will continue to be also-rans as long as the Lansdowns own it.

A think you'll find a lot of us agree with you!

For some - the plan is to disagree with anything we do from here on in, because it isn't good old Nige..!

We could surge up the table, finish top 6, win the play offs, in our 3rd Wembley victory of the season as we win the FA Cup, qualify for Europe & get promoted in LM's first season & some would post here insisting that we'd have done it under Nige anyway & that Tinnion is a snake & the Lansdowns need to get out of our club..!

I reckon if that happened I'd admit I was wrong (gladly). But let's be honest, none of those things are going to happen, are they?

    Ouch.

Quite the tough start for Beale that..could be toxic?? Not a wildly popular appointment with Sunderland fans.

Hugely overrated manager, always thought he was a bit of a turncoat for the way he walked out on QPR too.
