  1. Liam Manning wasn't even born the last time Bristol City beat West Ham! (For the record, City won 2-1 at Upton Park on the 11th February 1978)
  2. Choose your own tired clichés that'll be trotted out endlessly by BBC commentators, when our backwater team address the populace against West Ham. I'll start with... They've only spent 2 periods in the top division in their entire history!
  3. Appreciate that Dave. I was thinking more Semenyo than Martin.
  4. Weird stats of the day.. Goals scored 30 - Position 18th Goals conceded 30 - Position 6th We've conceded less goals than Ipswich and Southampton, who sit in 2nd and 3rd.
  5. Max came out because Dickie and Vyner left a gaping hole for Keane to run into.
  6. Yes, I shop at Specsavers. We need a striker that can play with his back to goal and an attacking midfielder, and our fortunes may change. We haven't looked a poor side, just one that keeps missing chances when on top.
  7. Before half the forum implodes, City aren't a bad team, just one that needs a central goal-scoring striker and a creative midfielder to maximise our good approach play. Yes, we fell away in the second half, but you invite pressure when you fail to score and that's 3 games now.
  8. Wells and McCrorie and James on... Bell, Mehmeti and TGH off
  9. Mehmeti and Pring are linking up well on the left flank. Anis needs an option to pass back to when he's beating their right back, otherwise we lose momentum. He and Williams have been our best players so far.
  10. When we play one and two touch they can't live with us. Need to show that bravery in the second half. Oh, I nearly forgot - and score.
  11. Toby Osborne and Joe Burnell in the commentary box today.
  12. Naismith reminds me of Tony Robinson's (Baldrick's) 'Ode To Lee Matthews' at Brian Tinnion's Testimonial Dinner Oh, Lee, oh Lee, oh Lee, oh Lee, You really were a hit Your goals filled me with glee But you were never ****ing fit
  13. Lots of injuries for the 'Ammers, with Mavrapanos, Paquetta, Bowen and Antonio missing the replay. Plus Kuddus and Aguerd on ACN duty.
  14. Are we going all Oasis on our Scottish defender? Need a little time to wake up Need a little time to wake up, wake up Need a little to rest your mind You know you should, so I guess you might as well What's the story, Ross McCrorie? Well?
  15. I prefer to go with the tatty, downmarket approach. (Note to self. Must tidy bookshelf and shoe rack)
  16. DaveP, Mark & Ian discuss a thrilling encounter where City put two poor performances behind them in matching West Ham in all areas of the pitch and bring David Moyes side back to Ashton Gate for a hotly anticipated replay. Conway's strike from a superb Williams pass was class as were a couple of MOL saves.
