Excellent high press by City. Pinning them down.
-
Great corner by Tane Anderson, but Joe James fails to connect at the back post.
-
City corner, right.
-
City are pressing well in the Man City half, but wasting the turnovers.

Still wonder why the lure of Westerlo was so big? Other than his brother was in Belgium.
This is worth revisiting with my journalist contact. I'll message him and get back to you.

Nahki Wells close range header was enough to give City all three points at Home Park and make it a Happy Easter for Liam Manning who has to be praised for his game management across the two games.
Ian, Mark, Neil and debut contributor Ani joined DaveP in reviewing the matchday action as well as speculating where City might finish in the table with just 6 games to go.

Results aside what was the point in this loan. Since he’s joined we’ve played 11 games.
1 game he didn’t make the squad
7 times he’s sat on the bench and not got off it.
3 times he’s come off the bench for a grand total of 44 minutes.
He’s not played since Cardiff away where he got 8 minutes on February 2nd.
Now we’re safe surely we either give him game time or bring some of our own youth players in who we think could step up.
Baffling loan so far.
Please can you respectfully spell Dire's surname correctly? It's Mebude.

Wow. What a goal from Sarmiento. Lost his footing and was still able to poke it in. Only joined on loan from Brighton in January, after spending the first half of the season at West Brom.

One of the best keepers in the Championship.

Was going to post exactly the same point @Fuber - that to me today was probably more pleasing than Friday because it’s the first time I’ve seen Liam see a problem and react in real time. First 25 minutes we were awful and Whittaker (I’d take him in a heartbeat) looked like he’d rip us a new one. Minor tweaking of positions got us back in the game and it was an even - if dull - last 20.
Second half the subs were spot on. Sykes is the first name on the team sheet for me and gives such a good outlet. The shape change was the right one and we dominated that second half. Ended up being a comfortable and more than deserved win.
I’ve slated Liam enough times for poor game management. That was spot on today and full credit to him.
(Awaits usual crew accusing me and others of being upset with the result)
No, you're spot on. Switching to a four squeezed the space for Plymouth's wingbacks and that, plus Williams's energy and aggression unleashed Knight. Sykes was a constant threat on the right too.

Well done to all. Has Manning turned it round ?
Not until we can beat a side who have 0% possession, park the bus and brick up the goal, no. So there!
