Disagree, opinions on here are a sociologist dream.

There is a whole science of covering change. As context my employer has over the past 2 years cut 50% of the workforce, and to help people manage change they’ve provided some change management sessions. One of the instruments used  in the sessions, is the change curve, which covers the start of the change - anger, and then goes through a number of stages, denial, shock, depression and then you reach openness to change, acceptance and then embracing the change.

I think views on the forum are very reflective of these different stages and where individuals are on the curve and everyone has their own starting point and their own rate of change and indeed some will never wish to embrace change, from a work perspective they leave and from a forum perspective they just get ignored.

I don’t think that there are people deliberately wanting Manning to fail, I’d suggest that assuming we all want our team to play attractive and successful football, then their perceived negativity is merely a reflection on where they are on the curve and the obvious targets to express their fustration is Manning, Tinnion and or the Lansdowns.

if my memory serves me right Cotts was not initially a widely celebrated choice initially, but he brought about one of the most successful and attractive City teams I seen in my lifetime and most supporters I suggest would agree he was a great appointment.

No problem with being critical about Manning at times, I’ve been critical about his tactics this afternoon, and I was very critical when he first joined, but I’m being won over by some of the performances and the positive results of the coaching on a number of players, so I guess I’m moving towards acceptance.

Professional Anthropologist here, couldn't agree more. Forums like these are rich pickings sociologically. All the freaks come out 😂

Weird how cultish OTIB is about regularly having pops at posters across a period of time. More like a pub than a forum at times.

    He nailed that one then.

I was sure we'd end up with one of those defensive Stikers..!

What's with the sudden weird influx of people pretending to be ITK?

I'm lucky enough to get something once every couple of years from a neighbour of friend of a friend, but there are people on this forum with genuine connections to City and have regularly proved they've got an inside track on some things. Why does every tosser on Twitter feel the need to pretend to be up to date with City news? It's maladaptive and strange.

    Bring back Shags imo.

George will probably scream at the mere mention of Bristol City. He fractured his ankle during his debut of what was meant to be a 3-month loan spell. And he wasn't the only one. We seemed to make a habit of breaking loanees.

I can still remember the sound that made, proper snap!

That’s not George Elokobl - wrong colour for a start

You are correct, Elokobi never donned the blue of Ipswich!

Intriguingly there was a little bit that referred to a future Sports Quarter in one of the documents/articles.

If out a gets odd the ground that could boost our Commercial potential. I would also argue we should attract in some ways higher Mining rights than Birmingham given the newer Training Ground, the hefty non matchday use etc.

This being a Related Party...is why I call elements into question. Then again they have the US exposure, Brady angle that we lack.

Attendances higher for us this year, and the ast fee albeit that gap has narrowed. Whereas they are a bigger club historically.

Did we strike gold under the Dolman or something?

It’s funny isn’t it.  Like you all Polish people and people of Polish descent (first generation) that I’ve met could not be any nicer and kinder and good people. A bloke at my dads work was especially helpful to him when he fell very ill - literally kindness personified. Likewise I’ve had great bosses (he was even a Gashead!) and colleagues, one of whom have turned into a very good mate.  It’s a part of the make up as to why that vote a while back hurt so much and to me was just nonsensical - but we won’t go there!!!

Honestly I've never met an Eastern European I didn't like, they can never do enough for you.

My Mrs works in autistic adult social care with lots of them and they're constantly buying her snacks, fags and booze, inviting us round for dinner, sending her home with homecooked food for the both of us, going out of their way to be neighbourly and kind. Just the other day she came back with an enormous plate of dumplings and stew that we saw off in one sitting.

Same goes for the inordinate amount of Zambians I've now met through that bunch - what a stunning group of people they all are.
