  1. Others won't see it the same but I'm actually quite happy with this. Completely secures Tins and his team to directly deal with the football long term. This is really important to keep continuity with the type of footballers we're recruiting. Where he lacks will be the financial aspect so that will be picked up separately.
  2. Thought he showed great hold up play aswell. He always brings commitment but really happy for him that he's finally off the mark for us.
  3. Haven't been able to get on from the match until just now. Think most people have been in the same boat so can't get in. Getting the above error message.
  4. I agree however that's the biggest 'if' really. I'm not sure we have the legs in the team to keep that up all game especially in the middle.
  5. It doesn't work like that. I've had the neighbouring land the longest and had a plan all along doesn't cut it unfortunately. It's the 'permission' part that you've missed out. Which until recently had passed until now this new legal objection.
  6. Very disappointing news but they do have a point. Inevitably new residents will complain and that could close their business unless something is worked out now i.e the roof or something else. Just seems strange timing for this to come up after being accepted.
  7. Well maybe read the rest of my post Graham and you'll actually understand what I'm trying to say. I agree I wanted Ashton out!
  8. Weird that people wanted Ashton out early and slagged off Lansdown for not getting him out. But potentially our new CEO is leaving and maybe sacked and Lansdown is crap blah blah.. without knowing any real details. Typical club bashing as always by some. It could be so many different reasons if true. Gross misconduct, Resigned, Illness, Takeover and plenty other scenarios. Let's just wait and see without bringing out the pitchforks or bedsheets straight away eh?
  9. Feels like you are might be the most negative person in existence..
  10. Pot kettle black springs to mind. I remember when Barnsley fans used to pop on here sporadically and tell us how crap LJ was and all his short comings. No pun intended! I remember thinking why are they so obsessed with a past manager. Same applies here.
  11. Lots of bitterness in here from fans about LJ which I never fully understand. Yes he should of done more with backing he got but so should of alot of people at that time. He was always going be up against it with the nepotism (job for the mates) working with slimy MA. His own LJ ism's and succeeding fan popular Cotterill. I never thought he didn't care during his time and always gave his best but didn't work out. He must show something in the footballing realm to keep getting jobs. Hope it works out for him at Fleetwood!
  12. I agree all the good bits of business are usually dismissed on here i.e Webster, Brownhill and LJ did turn Bobby from a player that we would sold for £200k not long before changing his position. However the biggest difference is when has Nige had the chance to flip a player?.. He's had to use them on the pitch! Plus Alex Scott is arguably the best young player we've ever had and that's credit to Nigel. I'd also argue Tanner, Sykes, Atkinson, Knight will all be worth more than we paid. Plus the development of Bell, Conway and early days Yeboah will be worth a fair whack if sold.
  13. They've lined us up for a half price deal in Jan.
  14. Not that I have any sympathy but they do accept some rubbish from their club. Demolished a tent structure (whatever was there) didn't sort out the planning permission for a promised new stand ready for the new season. Only building a glorified bus stop and the paperwork isn't through. Their manager has self imposed a ban on local media for apparent bias conveniently after he sets up a paywall subscription to release sensitive club information i.e transfers himself. They make out they are going to break their record fee to apparently not get the admin through on time. It's a circus over there and I love it!
  15. Exactly the same from me. I've somewhat felt like his PR rep recently. I'm not angry per se with Steve because unlike others I can reflect on all the progress he's done for our club since his arrival. His decisions haven't always been the best in regards to employing the best people for footballing reasons but his intentions I believe were coming from the right place. Infrastructure wise he's been amazing for this football club and I won't forget or just dismiss that huge investment as some fans do 'it means nothing to him as he's a billionaire' ect However it's the insistence on play offs/promotion as the key objective of the club when the likelihood of that happening without additional support from him (doesn't have to be like MA's splurge) but a slight loosening of the purse strings this is very unlikely to happen. I know he references Luton for promotion and so have I for different reasons i.e sustainability but in reality that sort of outcome is very rare. He and us basically can't have our cake and eat it. He can't pursue with going from one extreme to the other. Changes were ultimately needed when they did but it would be foolish to continue with this austerity as however good the recruitment has or will be..money is normally the ultimate factor for success. It's fine if he wants to sell up and can't find a buyer currently but rather than that wishy-washy interview he had a few months back when he briefly mentioned seeking investment just tell the fans the truth. They might not agree or be happy but they'll respect the honestly nonetheless. Finally if he's seeking investment but ultimately wants to retain a majority stake this is insane and no wonder he can't find a buyer.
  16. I agree the communication is poor but that's likely the same at football clubs. So if its not clear just make it up and blame the club by default is the answer?
  17. Firstly how do you know that it's not the other way round and Nige wants to retire in his acres of woodland that he's recently purchased? This is equally plausible without knowing the facts. I'm not saying that is the case because again that would just be conspiracy. Plus you act like Nige is really hard done by! He manages a football club and likely earns a million plus in his contract. He's done a brilliant job for us during this recent austerity but this club bashing without the full facts is baffling.
  18. Very weird to want that to happen just because of bitterness surely.. as a fan wouldn't you just want what's best for the club?
  19. Basically we're gonna be operating very differently going forward. SL won't be topping us up anymore.
  20. Not to be too disrespectful to Tanner but TGH seems to have more impetus to get us forward and I think we're better when playing on the front foot. I wouldn't say he was faster than Tanner so not bursting down the wings although he overlapped a couple of times. It's more his passing that seems to be more positive and incisive and this gets us going. As others have said he did dally on the ball and played us into danger early on but I think he'll only get better and better.
  21. Bore off with this again.. we've literally just won.
  22. Henbury Gas and his blind optimism getting shot down ?
  23. Pot kettle black surely?
  24. Okay one question. Are you happy that Vyner has signed?
