From asschat 'The Colony' reflects that it is on the site of Colony Farm, which probably took it's name from the now long gone 'Hortham Idiot Colony' which was nearby. and That colony farm was called because it served the hortham colony hospital for what was then called a mental hospital, not PC now I know but I can see the Ted's having yet another field day at our expense. Well predicted! Whilst I agree that it may not be a PC name for it's former use, the Hortham idiot colony is certainly a fitting name for the new residents

I kind of get the feeling that from our side it's all done deliberately to wind them up, without any real hatred, whilst knowing the reaction it will get. The welcome to Bristol thing reminded me of the poster campaign about there being two teams in Bristol (us and the rugby team).

Feels like we are heading into January in the same way we did with Cotts. We all assumed he had players lined up ready to come in in Jan, when it turned out he didn't and it was going to be another shambles of a transfer window, he had to go. Hopefully LJ does have some signings lined up ready this Jan. Selling Kodj late summer wouldn't have been his idea, and needs a chance to get a replacement in... As for the 'imbecile' part of this thread, my take is that you can't give the manager no credit at all when we are doing well, but blame him entirely when it goes badly...

Trying to be positive, after last season we were looking to improve this season, not necessarily expecting promotion. May be our expectations have got too high because of the start we had to the season. If we were still targeting a mid table finish this year, with further strengthening next summer, things look like they are going pretty much to plan. We don't want to emulate our rugby friends and go up and be so far off the pace (albeit we'd get fantastic parachute payments!)

I think we should be blaming Tammy. He was awful, and shows that he can't do anything at all against a half decent defender, he'll never cut it in the Prem, and will clearly never be the next big thing at Chelsea. In fact, they may was well just let us keep him...
