  1. Burton on top. How about a goal in about 20 minutes, injury time winner again, would be sweet!
  2. Half of those were pissed up Swedes weren't they? Maybe disappointed by the lack of meatballs?
  3. Gas chat is a fun read right now! I liked the question just before the goal of when was the last time we had 3 0-0 draws in a row
  4. Seems some of the gas considered the issue of planning permission at the start of August - no-one at the club reads their forum then! Aug 3, 2018 at 4:14pm wertongas said: As I detailed in my earlier thread and on here the delay is due to consultation with Bristol city planning dept, Tom G informed me some while back that delay in installation is being caused by planning which the club are currently working through it obviously takes time to get agreement with planning, we are working with Bristol city council who very rarely do us any favours. But we don't need planning permission for temporary stands, we need a Safety Certificate from BCC but that can't be obtained until the stands are in place and can be fully tested for safety/access etc. BCC have given us pp for every stadium planning application so they rarely let us down in any event. wertongas Youth Team Posts: 90 Member is Online Posting Level Next Level in 10 posts Let's make a standAug 3, 2018 at 5:38pm dislike this. Yes and I suppose we have got permission for planning permission from city council in the past. Yes and I suppose we have got permission for planning permission from city council in the past. Because what you are suggesting doesn't make sense to me as if we're only at the planning stage it could be weeks, even months, before the stands are eventually ordered/built/delivered/constructed/approved for use. Plus how does this effect the SW Stand as we must already have some form of BCC agreement for that particular stand to be in place. Although the way things are going with the strikers I doubt we need more seating anyway as we'll struggle to fill what we've got. gassygas Newbie Posts: 20 Member is Online Posting Level Next Level in 5 posts Let's make a standAug 3, 2018 at 7:17pm dislike this. Looking on the councils website I can't see any planning applications searching 'Bristol rovers', 'memorial' or the stadiums postcode since 2014. I'm sure formal PP can't be needed for the new stand. Maybe being in kit form it is considered a temporary structure that doesn't need full PP?
  5. And they are such a big draw, home fans all want to come to watch them.
  6. Ed Ware who was a director at Rovers from 2007-2016. Can't really see him being the big saviour now, he could have put his cash in with Higgs.
  7. They're so tinpot, they don't even have a set of matching white plastic chairs
  8. not tinpot at all. 7855 gasheads went today. Isn't that every single one of them these days?
  9. I thought Hegeler was, but he never seems to play even when he isn't injured
  10. That is classed as a miss, as Brendan Rogers found out at Liverpool. yes, it is a miss, and not a shot on target. But to say a shot which hit the woodwork automatically isn't a good or clear chance isn't the same thing. Hitting the post from a really narrow angle may not be a great chance, hitting it from right in front of the goal, it probably was a good chance. Saying that, our problem seems to be that too many of our shots and shots on target are long range. You are more likely to score from a 'good chance' 6 yards out than a good chance 20 yards out.
  11. Yep, it takes lots of ITK insight to know you have better chance of premier league football by joining a premier league team. As for Flint, Boro are certainly considered more likely than us to go up this year too, and is probably being paid a LOT more too.
  12. Are they hoping to relocate? This cup tie could be huge for the gas, if they don't leave at the end of the match they could squat in a new stadium. They aren't bothered about home grounds being outside Bristol, do they?
  13. I see Wael's avoiding the fans now (from twitter) due to a last minute meeting on a Sunday: Wael‏Verified account @waelalqadi Aug 11 More A big apology to everyone expecting to see me at the @martinbelstenm1 game tomorrow! Sadly I am no longer to make it due to a meeting that has come up last minute, I hope everyone has a great day and you raise lots of money for St Peters Hospice!
  14. Sounds to me that Henbury **** wants his details removing on here. Despite the fact that those same details were found by our members on their forum, mostly posted by him? Should they be looking at more posts and should they charge to use the site if that is the case. Your input would be most useful, I take it Before the 25th May anything is non GDPR, it is only anything after this date? Thats is one i'm still trying to find out ! I know there is a "process" that has to be followed closely if you want to pursue a public forum/media site to get some action taken, which is what i'm doing at the moment. If you send an informal polite request to have information removed, most will do it, but if not a formal legal approach in the form of a letter from a solicitor will solve the problem, but you have to give them time to respond.
  15. yeah, cos the club couldn't possible be lying/making up excuses. They've never done that before. They really are special over there!
  16. May look like a decent result with hindsight - against big spending Forest. Time will tell.
  17. Don't take the comment too seriously. I actually like LJ. The comments more about our incredible ability to concede very early in the second half. Normally half-times seen as a chance to regroup and tactics to be given to the players. For whatever reason, it often seems to back fire for us.
  18. The number of times he played a weak back-pass for us. You'd think he'd learn!
  19. If the season could continue like this - 5 minutes in we're winning and the gas are losing. I've dropped off and having a Thatchers fuelled dream aren't I?
