I predicted a top 6 finish as we had so many new signings, it's looking highly likely that my prediction will indeed become a reality. We're now mid way through January and although I believe we could and should be clear at the top, I think our blip is out of the way and nothing more than a top 2 finish would definitely be a failure, SC has almost said as much. The cup competitions are a bonus, as long as they stay a bonus and not a distraction then we are laughing. My only worry is our POSSIBLE, loss of firepower, one more "club in the bag", in the form of a pacy, direct striker IMHO would almost certainly see us over the line, hopefully as champions and not runners up to a local rival AGAIN.

I can see us needing a few more than that for the title, SC says he wants to win it, if that's the case then I think we may need a different option, I'd still like to see a nippy striker who runs at defences brought in.

I'm unable to cricise the numbers the gas have taken to Woking, we are joint top, 2 leagues above them and admittedly Scunny is a tad further than Woking, but I doubt we've got similar numbers at our game. Credit where it's due, what a bunch of tools though not getting tickets before hand :laugh:.

What makes you think that Swindon won't be in the top 3? They've been by far the best team in the league, apart from us, that's why they are top. I do hope you are right mate, it'd be great to see them fail, however I personally can't see it happening.

They are where they are on merit, I believe they've lost 2 first teamers to the Asia Cup, yet are still firing on all cylinders. As much as I dislike them, you've got to respect the job that Cooper has done & on a shoe string budget. There's no doubt in my mind that they will be up there with us, MK, Penis End & a late push from Sheffield Utd.

An injury to JET or M Smith would be devastating, I know we've still got Agard and Alby to come back, but I'm concerned with the lack of goal threat & strikers we have on the bench. I'm sure SC has done all he can to tackle the problem, however it's still a worry.

Both Barnsley & Crewe did that and we looked a tad fragile, for all of Littles endeavour and energy, IMHO he's blown hot and cold away from home, but in the whole he's done well, it's a big ask for Tavernier to step up, after playing so "little" football of late.

Watch him turn out to be a world beater!
