  1. The ideal scenario for me, given Lansdown ain't sacking him any time soon, is stay up and when we've only sold about 12 season tickets for next year even the incompetent benefactor will then take notice and have to act.
  2. Yep, good point whatever the circumstances as Newcastle are streets ahead of us. Won't change my opinion of Johnson.....that was cemented watching abject defeats at home to Brentford, Preston, Cardiff, Reading and Fulham, losing at Wolves/Forest and surrendering that lead at Derby. Those are the games that see us where we are instead of being comfortable.
  3. How about people have been watching Johnson "change it up" as you put it every single week both in original team selection then at half time once he's realised the folly of his original team selection and after waiting to see what happens first (we are getting beat nearly every week) perhaps they are fed up with seeing yet more changes and have decided to call him out before the game this time? Einstein got it right but Johnson clearly sees something in doing the same thing every week and expecting different results!!!! I don't care if he keeps us up, which I just don't see is within his level of ability tbh, the Tinkerman is done as far as I'm concerned.
  4. If we win 4-0 I would still kick him out. That 45 is justification to sack anyone.
  5. We can still stay in this league BUT we have to act now. No time for sentimentality or giving the "nice guy" or "family friend" more chances. Johnson has to go.....with a proper managerial appointment made this time.....if the people in charge at the club are serious in moving it forwards.
  6. And yet there is "negativity" on here according to some!! Who would believe it?!! 8 consecutive league defeats on the horizon...no Manager, not even Pulis, has done that to us.
  7. Do we have our own style, system, formation and starting XI? Or do we base everything we do entirely on what the opposition might do? Anyway, he's had plenty of time to look at it and make the adjustments so we should see a better second half display now.
  8. So, according to many, he's more entitled to an opinion because he's there.....unless it's not the one they wanted to hear!!
  9. How do you set up a team for a 0-0 draw? You play compact and keep men behind the ball, stick to your shape and don't commit too many players forward when you do have the ball. Doesn't always work but that's how you do it. That style of play WOULD be dictated to the players by the Manager. In effect he is controlling their movement if he asks them to play that way as there are certain areas of the field he does not want certain players to move into!! So I suppose you could argue the players may be carrying out the instructions of the Manager. One shot in 45 minutes of football would suggest that is the way we have at least started today particularly when listening to the words of the Manager before the game where "not getting beat" seemed to be the priority.
  10. I reckon that's the plan. If we're 0-0 with 25 to go he'll stick Tomlin on and hope he can take advantage of THEIR frustration and nerves.
  11. The problem being we aren't anywhere near to being a good team and there is no way we can be relied upon to keep a clean sheet unless this new keeper turns out to be some sort of superstar!!
  12. It is a disgrace. The "Master Tactician" has set up for a 0-0 and hoping for a 1-0. That is where we are at under him now.
  13. 36 minutes and we haven't even had a shot. Not even one ten yards wide!!! Suppose we better hope the new keeper puts in a shift, if Forest are not so dire that they cannot even manage a shot on target, and we scab a 0-0!!
  14. I'm guessing Johnson will make 4-5 more changes on Monday and yet again we will play the first 45 minutes like the players have only just been introduced to each other. It's becoming tedious and predictable.
  15. Went too. Sale are hardly world beaters but Bristol looked like a Championship team playing in the Prem. Down by Christmas I reckon. Robinson should have been bombed out two years ago.
