  1. The last city game I went too was against Bolton,I'd rather stick knitting needles up my cxxk than sit though 2 hours of that atmosphere again.
  2. Speaking to a former city director,he's not far off that money
  3. I just think this is them finally giving up on u.w.e.I've said before the u.w.e.have threatened them with court action for slander.every patch of land at the moment in south Gloucestershire is being looked upon as a potential housing site.there only chance of affordable land would be severnside
  4. Just to add more misery for the gas, don't know if been previously mentioned but I was talking to my UWE source on Friday and he said they have just come from a meeting about the direction the UWE is going in.basically it was all about brexit and fees but when mentioned about UWE stadium the answer was it was 100%dead and if rovers blame UWE anymore they will take them to court.the land is going for affordable housing and a swimming pool complex.
  5. Don’t want to go into detail but a surrplier told me they are late with his payment and he don’t think he is alone.living north of the river I was chatting to a rovers friend of mine and he said they also owe there coach company (peter carol?)money
  6. Tonight could be the last straw if what I heard was true.they really are on the brink of administration unless the fake sheke walks and takes a hit on his investment
  7. I agree ,I just can’t understand why they never bit there hands off at the time.i will feel a lot happier when something else gets built there(not more flats or houses).i
  8. I’ve said before, anyone living near the uwe go and have a look at the plot of land for the stadium.i can’t belive they would pull the plug on it and walk away from the deal.the location, transport and PARKING would be first class,I would not be surprised if they announced something soon.Dare I say it would be a great site for a arena.
  9. Just shown the picture to a gas friend,I think I've spoilt his day.he thought it was going on the flat ground behind and about 5times bigger
  10. The source I had in the uwe used to say about if people knew how much money the uwe had stashed away there would be a public outcry
  11. Living in north bristol I have a few gas friends ,but when you hear some of the comments in pubs etc you remember why you hate them so much
  12. After going for a run around the so said stadium site last evening I cannot believe nothing is built there yet.theres no way the gas could afford it so Iam guessing there getting in bed with the uwe on the uwe terms
  13. I have it from a very good source that was just the straw that broke the camels back.he was up to no good a lot of the time.
  14. So what,it's getting embarrassing telling people your from bristol.when we played man utd I walked back to temple Meades with a few mancs and they could not believe we only had buses in bristol.I didn't mention the arena, our village airport or the fact every music venue in the city is nearly closed.let's think big for once
  15. He's doing a lot better this year but let's not kid ourselves. He publicly blamed his own players, went awol for about 3 weeks from the media all together. then he took to running down tunnels before we finished booing
  16. It came from a very good friend who told me about the end of the UWE project about a week before it became public but all I would say was admin was mentioned .This time he could be wide of the mark but it sounded very plausible to me.
  17. I am only posting this on here because I know some gas read it but I feel like going on gaschat and telling them to get a grip.I can't believe the suggestions there coming up with for the New mem.The guy has not spent a penny of his own money and there on about having underground parking and a 3tiered grandstand. If what I have heard (living north side of the river )is correct the UWE is going to be the least of there problems.(I've promised not to mention names but I would be very worried if I were a gas fan.
  18. 18 months ago when he took over at least 2 clubs (Gillingham being one not sure about other)turned him away.If that did not set alarm bells ringing then they deserve him.
  19. I hated d.c. for a while, but when you look at what he's spent and how he plays to his players strengths if he was not with the gas I would be more than pleased to have him at the gate
  20. On the Teflon lee thread I get told off for calling him little lee but it's funny to compare him to a garden gnome.I can't win
  21. Not the same one as me when the council offered the bish land near horfield sports centre in return to let the dings move, the almondsbury site was not on the map
  22. The ground dings had lined up was BishiptonRFC on Bonington walk with them having to move.dings were struggling like a lot of rugby clubs at the time, how we got are new ground on one of the most prime locations in south glos is belonged me.
  23. The land was sold when higgs was in charge and they thought they had the sainsbury money.Unless they now buy a low value site e.g. avonmouth way there is no way they will ever build in bristol
  24. If the gas had a brain they would of bought the dings landseer ave site. They had 4 pitches, a club house and car park and talking to a redrow worker they had it for peanuts
  25. Coming from Lockleaze, I used to go cross country running on said land and I remember h.p.gave the land to UWE because they were refused p.p. for something back in the day. There's nothing in it for UWE to sell the freehold to the gas because Hewitt Packard will just take all the profit when it go's to court
