  1. Pathetic performance from City today. Painful to watch. Not sure how we were so collectively and individually bad after so many positives on Tuesday, with none of the tenacity we showed in that game.

I haven’t read the whole of this thread so this has probably already been mentioned, but one of the problems is the cumbersome system for transferring a ticket. Every now and then my daughter can’t make games. In the past I’d give my daughter’s season card to my step-daughter to use, but now with it being a pain in the backside to transfer the ticket the seat is just left empty instead.
  3. Best wishes to him. I’ve always liked him, he comes across as a decent guy.
  4. Slight Return - The Bluetones
  5. I definitely want us to win the play offs. More realistically, though, I’ll be happy if we can continue to be within touching distance of them for as long as possible without the drop in form we saw after we beat Watford away.
  6. It’s a wonderful kit and from the era I was born.
  7. Always very sad to hear about the passing of a fellow red. RIP Paul.
  8. City were superb tonight. Best performance over 90 mins for a long time. Southampton’s players looked destroyed in the second half. COYR
  9. It was a great finish. Very controlled - he knew he was going to score. Superb pass from McCrorie too.
  10. Really hope we’ve learned from the Leeds game and put in a good performance. Southampton’s run has to end at some point, so hopefully tonight’s the night.
  11. Excellent win. Typical that it got nervy at the end, but listening to the radio it sounds like a fully deserved 3 points. COYR
  12. The optimistic part of me thinks that the performance v Forest will have given the players the confidence to get something out of today’s game. The pessimistic part of me says the team will be tired and lethargic. Normally I’m pessimistic but I think we’ll get something today. We are certainly due a league result.
  13. Yep, I used to travel to most away games in the 1990s-early 2000s (before having kids got in the way) and used to absolutely love it, especially the grounds further away.
  14. I’ve still not got over losing to Mansfield on penalties at Wembley in 1987.
  15. Very sad news. RIP Martin.
  16. Just caught up with the highlights. Looks like we played some good stuff but weren’t clinical enough. Not sure how that Wells chance didn’t go in. Their winning penalty had an element of luck too with Max getting a hand to it.
  17. I really like it that this is happening. When the re-build of AG was first mooted I loved the idea of a museum being part of it and I hope this happens at some point.
  18. The changes seem sensible to me. McCrorie probably needs a rest as he returns to fitness. Mehmeti has been looking dangerous. Bell looked lively when he came on v Forest. Williams has been playing well. Conway is probably knackered after playing up front in his own, but he can come on if needed. Let’s beat them, City. We’re due a win. COYR
  19. On first impressions I quite like it. Our badge is growing on me, but I still wish it would have incorporated the Suspension Bridge (like the tweaked versions of the design by posters on this forum at the time).
  20. Don’t Dream It’s Over - Crowded House
  21. Great stuff by Maidstone. What a finish for that first goal. The FA Cup at its best. And even sweeter that it has hopefully ruined Mark Ashton’s weekend.
  22. He’s been superb. Very good on the ball too.
  23. Really impressed with him so far, especially his marauding runs with the ball. And he will only improve as he gets more fit.
  24. Really good performance from City. All that was lacking was a spark in the final third. Lots of positives. I particularly loved the surging run by Cornick. COYR.
  25. That’s Not My Name - The Ting Tings
