Jeezuz cryst literally whatever happens this window it's obvious the board bashers are going to twist it to suit their narrative.
Tom Broadbent? A non-league defender who's played about 10 hours of football for us has gone to a tin pot club in the league below. Who gives a ****? Get a grip of yourselvesA tin pot club with a better stadium and plans for a 6 million training ground recently submitted.
The County Ground is the very definition of half decent. Good sides, crap ends.

We appear to have played there in the FA Cup in January 1958 - exactly 60 years ago! That was probably the last time as they folded in 1962 and resigned from the league. Obviously we haven’t been in the same division since then.
Yep. According to 11v11.com that cup tie (and the replay at Ashton Gate that we won 3-1) was the only time we have played them.

It's tinpot time again.
I trust they won't be allowed to pin their tat up at Ashton Gate.....if they ever play there again?

Comedy hour on radio Bristol where the gas new manager has just said that he doesn’t need new signings and the ground and training ground don’t need to be changed. He actually said that their facilities are on a par with the teams in league one and much better than Sheffield Wednesday! And they all rang in to thank him. You couldn’t make this crap up.
Ah, a yes man. He'll fit in well there.

As quoted in the Evil Post today the new Sag Manager was quoted as saying “felt honoured to be interim charge of such a big club”.
You’ve got to give it to him, he has either got a cracking sense of humour, or is one sarcastic ****** (depending on how you interpret the written word)
Let’s just remind ourselves of how big Rovers are....
Yeah, he’s hilarious as far as I’m concerned...”Big”
Not only are their young supporters forced to watch crap, it would appear from that photo that they're forced to walk through it to get to the grotto too!

Great idea, start getting behind ‘the greatest manager in our history’ once he’s been sacked...
Bunch of idiots
Are they really saying he's the greatest manager in their history?! Well yes obviously what he's done is far better than that Bert Tann who only gave them ten years of second division football including top half finishes plus beat the Busby Babes 4 0. What a funny lot they really are.

I honestly don't get the absolute love-in that the 15ers have with DC.
He's the only manager in their entire history to get them relegated out of the Football League. Yes, he got them back up again, and then promoted again, but he was well on his way to returning them to the bottom tier when he got sacked.
So, basically, in four and a half years, he got them from League Two to almost certainly being back there next year. And he's their greatest ever manager?
Actually he's not the only manager to get them relegated out of the football league. They finished bottom of the third division south in 1939 which meant they were effectively out of the league and had to be re-elected. Gasheads should be reminded that they have now joined the league three times!

Judging by the opinions on Slagchat they really don’t want Cotterill.
That’s the guy who got us promoted to the Championship with 99 points. The season before he arrived in December when we were bottom of L1 and steered us to mid table safety.
They’re as thick as shit.
You must remember that any new sag manager has to live up to their great Watney cup triumph. Obviously Cotts wouldn't be up to that...

if the surface stands up to it....Bristol Sport will consider it all as extra money. It'll be quite some juggle though. Swindon would welcome the extra cash, but I cant see any other place being a good enough size tbh. The Rec has a bigger capacity than The Mem, so doubt they'd consider it a reasonable deal. IIRC Swindon were more than happy to roll out the welcome mat
Swindon would be the best bet. Obviously a bigger and better stadium than the Mem plus Bath get a lot of their support from Wiltshire.

That’s what most of the fewers think in their tiny deluded minds (that we need each other) was talking to one of the less fortunate the other day and his words was ‘most of the rovers fans that I know is that their problem is that they are far too interested in what City are doing’ tbf he’s spot on, he also said how we are lightheaded ahead of them and they should just forget about what’s happening at AG, he didn’t let us down though he just had to mention the ‘loyal and true’ and how they’ve got a Championship fanbase his response was look how many we took to Wembley etc, yet couldn’t muster a reply when I asked why do they all boycott your home games then.
So even when you think your actually having a decent conversation with a Sag, the bullshit delusion always shines through in the end.
Championship fan base. Not that old chestnut! If they want that to be taken seriously they might have to break through the five figure average crowd barrier. Something they haven't done for FORTY THREE years!

To be fair, their old stadium, The Manor Ground, was a mix of odd looking ‘stands’ and terracing....but at least they have moved on, and progressed into a new, modern stadium.....da gas must be so jealous.....
Even the Manor Ground was tent free as far as I can recall!

Nearly three years on from our glorious back to back promotion we've lost all three of our top scorers and we are dropping like a stone. What sort of evolution is this?
Sir! Sir! Me Sir! I know the answer!
Is it, 'an absolutely HILARIOUS evolution?'
It obviously hasn't occurred to them that after two "glorious " promotions they might have err, found their level? But no, they expect to march on towards the premier league because they have soul!

Ha-ha, I can see myself on the lower pic !
Wish I'd been there. Winning 6 0 away to secure promotion was incredible if you think about it. If someone had put that forward as a plot for a film it would probably be rejected for being too far fetched!
