Can see a big offer for Semenyo and maybe Scott, which will be hard to resist. Not sure about HNM, still a lot missing from his game

I guess I thought that because Massengo was in the mix, he looked to be getting in the way. It's difficult to see on the highlights was they were supposed to be doing and what actually transpired
Midfield is effectively Massengo & Scott, with Pring and Dasilva at WB. Not really what you’d want, as a unit, in such a competitive League.

I only saw the highlights but it did look a shambles, players getting in each other’s way. Surely with Kalas, Klose and Vyner the back line can be more organised? Nobody appears to have a defined role, is this down to having to cover for the lack in other positions? I think on another thread someone mentioned Swansea altering their tactics at HT in order to draw out the midfield, and so we lost our shape. Do we not have a way to counter this? Is it down to team selection, lack of players etc?
I just put it down to a very weak midfield, defensively, and our vulnerability at full back/ wing back. Add into the mix inexperience, a few players seemingly low on confidence (Max, Zak & COD), few options on the bench, it’s a struggle right now. With a few astute signings (Unlike last summer!), and players back from injury, we should have a reasonable mid-table squad at best next season.
On the bright side, with Martin, Weimann and Semenyo, with cameos from Wells, at least we pose a threat up front.

Struggling with NP’s comments, young team, little in reserve, players out of position, not a particularly good team. They have to put in maximum effort to get any points, and I’ve certainly not noticed any lack of commitment. The lack of fit central midfield options definitely doesn’t help.

No idea why Max gets any blame for first goal, had he rushed out, chance of getting ball was low, and he’d be completely out of the frame if the ball gets to the forwards.
Gone now, let’s just look forward to Wednesday and hope for better, main aim should be not to lose.

There used to be matches cancelled when the pitch was playable but the area outside the ground was dangerous due to ice. It’s very rare for this to happen, if at all these days
Happened recently at Buxton, was due to watch a game there the day before Sheff Utd away.

The ref didn’t blow his whistle and point at the spot, so it wasn’t a pen. Wasn’t sure at the time and still not, but I’d rather have the odd potential mistake than VAR.

I remember it well, going to a match knowing it may be the last City game ever. Thankfully not, and after a bumpy start, a win at Hereford was the start of the revival.
Lowest for me was a dull 0-0 draw at Chester on a Tuesday night, the only team worse than us in Div 3 (That was some achievement), and a crowd of about 1,000.
Then a few years later, not only watching City at Wembley, but watching City win with some style.

City are currently the team who have spent the longest time in the middle two divisions, 38 years. Very beige

Good report as always, and pretty much as I saw it via red button. Lots of criticism of Max across the forum, but not easy when so many attackers are losing their markers with such ease. All part of the learning curve, for both younger players, and fans, used to managers having a transfer budget.
To Preston… and beyond

I’ve seen Cundy quite a few times, absolute quality, solid at the back and chipped in a few goals. Deservedly won all the POTY awards at Bath City.
Not sure if he can make the step up, but was definitely worth a punt, and decision whether to play him rests with NP. Saw him play for Cambridge at FGR, and he looked a reasonable League 1/2 player at best, but he seemed to develop well at Gillingham.

Think it was look at every incident until they could find a reason to disallow a perfectly good goal against Man Utd.

Reasonable question really, logic behind his signing is a mystery as he was not very good last season, on the short term deal.

We already have 50% of both championship & L1 games postponed and 67% of Prem, think the EFL should be looking at this and put off the rest of the games by this evening before fans start to travel. For so many games to be affected already, assume down to players infection, how can the EFL prevent much wider spread and more teams affected and more fixture problems for boxing day.

There is a lot of uncertainty, the experts are issuing warnings, and last Saturday before Christmas is never well attended. Main thing is that we need to avoid any major impact on the NHS over the Christmas break.
-
Looking at the Covid news today, I think caution might be wise. Quite feasible that fan numbers will be restricted/ no fans. And with the 2023 World Cup, no room to extend season.
-
And let’s not forget the risk that there may be no, or limited, fans allowed with this new Covid.
Crazy prices

Yrs he needs to go. But without a loss hopefully
Not a chance, he hasn’t been great, and no clubs outside the PL will be paying big money after Covid losses, and risk of further restrictions

Apologies, when I looked earlier it was muddled, but that just the norm with this lot.

At the moment, it’s the usual lack of clarity, masks at a theatre, but not at a concert, and the sport rules to date are totally confusing and illogical.

Was truly awful and a few of the ads were way too bright. Not that difficult, dim the boards, and have strict standards for advertisers not to use dazzling colours.

Oh joy! Still unconvinced by NP, and not sure that he’s the right guy for the job, purely based on what I have seen this season, home & away.

In 3 years we haven’t really seen him develop significantly. For big money, I’d want more than he offers.
