Got a sinking feeling that Hull are going to equalise in the last few minutes and Birmingham scrape it…again
Come on Plymouth, get that second!
It does feel like if anything’s going to change it will be at Plymouth.
Leicester still celebrating and Norwich not interested…

Pleased to see LM make changes at half time, as opposed to waiting until 65 mins, wasting 20 mins of seeing the same thing. Whether planned or reactionary I guess we’ll never know, but a positive for me vs what he has done previously.

Twine very good at ‘winning’ free kicks

Might be an OG
I thought the same

Did he book Conway then?
Twine - kicking the ball away.

We’re defending the wide areas well, an obvious switch up for Ipswich would be to pump some long passes into Moore and feed off it, I think we would start to struggle if they do that.

Do we know which way we are shooting this half?

Looking like a great day for us….

Saddest part for me was as soon as Cardiffs goal hit the net, it was obvious that it was game over. Fans knew it, so did the players and the body language said it all.

Doubt it, we’re paying his wages, I guess it’s all down to weather we seem to think he’s fit or not which he clearly ain’t at the moment!!
We’re ‘borrowing’ him for a set period of time. Burnley will have involvement with his injury and rehabilitation, as we will with any player we have out on loan. There will be a requirement of some sort for us to keep them involved.

My thoughts exactly. He obviously loves the challenge but I feel for his family too who must worry about him. More and more it feels like a young mans game (managing).
Some guys just love the game - look at Warnock at Aberdeen.

Exactly Cornick at the heart of everything we did well in Sat, but overlooked for a headless chicken with all the defensive capability of blancmange, especially with Pring out. That’s not meant to spite Roberts but he’ll need support tonight, and he won’t get that from Mehmeti.
Poor.
Confirmed by LM on pre match interview that cornick is feeling under the weather, but makes the bench.

Manning says they have been watching him for a while, but I suppose because there have been no rumours the nahsayers will want to suggest it's a panic last minute deal.
Is there a city group link here with manning, or is that a bit far fetched?

Fair play, that’s out of nowhere. Hope he does well

I understand they closed the tobacco factory because West Ham fans were in there “singing”.
Bit childish in my opinion. Nowt wrong with singing.
Re other pubs. I understand there was an incident at the Rising Sun involving the doorman. You can guess who came out on top there
Plus an incident by Spanish Bar. I believe a few Hammers got a bit of a whacking, even after they had it on their toes.
I did hear the comment “you’d think they’d be better at running away since they play at an athletics track”I was walking past the rising sun when that happened - some bloke decided it would be a good idea to try diving head first into the door and bouncer. He was on the floor quite quickly after that…

Very assured and aggressive with the ball - you can see what he can bring to the team when fully up to speed.

Yes, but I won't be going with this line-up and £55 starting price to sit right at the back
Prices have put me off as well. £70+ for anything that isn’t the upper tier of lansdown stand if I’m understanding it correctly.

I'm genuinely surprised to see the views on Tommy on here. The issue isn't Tommy, the issue is we don't provide enough opportunities for a lone striker and haven't done for some time.
Doesn't matter who we have in that role atm, you can only do so much when you have very little service. We've had Tommy, Bell, Wells and Cornick play that role, none of them look prolific and that's because they simply don't get the supply they need. I think we could take any striker and put them in this team as that central striker role and they'd struggle.
Joe Williams said as much in his post match interview regarding creating more chances for Tommy, so it’s clearly something that’s been discussed as a group.

Not often we go away from home and get treated like the home team.
A few players off the pace and the pitch didn’t seem to help, so a point and a clean sheet is ok. Good to see us controlling games like this - never really looked like losing which is a positive for me.

Yes, and others will corroborate @petehinton Phil Alexander was not a popular man at City.
Gould likeable, and a good politician to keep the relationship between Nige and the board on an even keel
I suppose the reasons for being unpopular are important here - easy to be unpopular for telling a few home truths?

In other news does anyone else think Nahki is really great on the co commentary? Really insightful and confident to chat away. Would happily have him on more often (although even better if he's on the pitch ofc).
I was just thinking how much we miss him on the pitch in a game like this. Composure up front really lacking for us and he has that.

Why are brum fans on the pitch?
