Makes me doubt the hiring process for a presenter. Surely during the interview for a presenter's job they would get asked "you have 5 minutes to demonstrate to me that you have an intimate knowledge of football and a further 20 minutes that you know everything about Bristol City." There must be equal accountability with the hiring manager/ interviewer otherwise sack them.

I honestly think a big part of Pearson still being here is quite literally the fact they had no clue who they would have bought in to replace him
Where as things have moved slowly on the pitch , one thing is evident is that Pearson has took charge of a lot more then just the first team. He seems to be trying to shape the whole club
I can remember an interview with him in the radio years ago. And he spoke about he would only take jobs of owners trusted him fully and gave him full autonomy
I really hope we have started to turn the corner. I’ve said before - I don’t expect to 6, I just want to see something on the pitch that resembles progression.
It’s only 8 games but without a doubt this is the best spell Pearson has had at the club. Long may it continue
Its the senior management who looks after the purse strings. We have been unable to splash out in the transfer market so have to rely on home grown with a few tweaks here and there. Its also the Directors role to find available talent and negotiate. Its NP who should work with the director in the final choice. So its not only down to NP. For NP to work within that negative (in the millions) budget I think he has done well that can only help to grow the club. Lets face it, GJ and LJ were spenders.

Terry Cooper saved us though going down to extinction. But I always have positive memories of Fred Ford. Funny enough, I bet NP thinks before the end of the game, "now what dribble can I tell 'em this week that sounds different.

An experienced, knowledgeable and ambitious executive, management and Coaching staff then everything falls into place. They will get the right playing strategies, team building and execution tactics.

Trouble with Lansdown is he’s actually spent a lot of money here but hasn’t always spent it wisely.
One has to start from the top. We can't seem to get the Management or the coaching hierarchy right.

Yep. We aren't going anywhere.

Watched a documentary on him the other day where they said that the drunken bum routine was all for the camera. Sinatra was even quoted as saying he rarely saw him take a drink away from the stage.
That appears to be correct. The drink in his hand on stage was actually apple juice. Searching the internet, past, less known, supporting acts all said the same thing years after DM's death. Engelbert Humperdink joked about the same thing during his Hawaii concert in 2018.

Apart from being in Division 1 {Premier} for a blink of the eyelid to being in the lowest division for a short spell, nothing much really.
The world has changed. Humans have walked on the moon; the music world changed with an Elvis and one can ask Alexa any question and be assured of an answer while sat anywhere on the Karzee.
However, our team is in the same spot every year, same ground, with similar talent, albeit with different formation, running down the same wings, depressed or unhappy we aren't going up. And we sing the same song about a wee bird with a red chest, which we all get excited about.
How many people jump off an infamous bridge?

I am not a Maguire fan but the Scottish fans and some English fans offered nothing else than sheer abuse. The toll on anyone's family must be damning.
Its not Maguires fault he got picked over others. Give his family a break.
