To quote Mr King - Martin Luther, not Andy……
We beat Man City. Twas 1-1 and deep into injury time. Bobby Reid - ok a surprise and unlikely appearance I accept- curls a sublime right footed free kick past Ederson.
I rush to catch a train to get back to Somerset. There’s a train strike. I have to wait for ages. I miss the highlights.
Someone says we won 4-1. I watch the highlight on me phone at a windswept Westbury station.
Final whistle pandemonium. They’re on the pitch. Max is seen throwing a firework back into the Atyeo. Nige comes out and kicks him down the tunnel…….
I wake up. Christ what was that all about? Must have been the 7.2% Savoie Triple Epices beer I had last night
Anyway a fool can dream. Top 6 finish? That’s happening.
What did you dream about last night?
Enjoy yer Monday. I’m hedge trimming
I think my dream was better;

Shape of things to come regrettably
Thanks B T.
Hopefully, my wife won't be paying too much attention in future when i tell her that the medium glass of wine i hand her in a pub is actually a large glass......

Called in to a pub today (The George at Longbridge Deverill) for a light pub lunch.
For drinks, i ordered a pint of ale for myself and a large glass of red wine for my better half.
At this point, i must say that the drinks were lovely and the food was excellent but.....
On receiving the bill, i was quite shocked to see that the large (250 ml) glass of red wine (Malbec) was priced at £11.50.
Of late, and during our all too rare forays in to the wonderful world of pubs, i've been paying £8.99 and even £9.99 for a large glass of half decent red wine but never more than that (£9.99).
Has anyone else paid this sort of sum (£11.50) recently and is this the shape of things to come or was i just unlucky with my choice of pub?

Very perspicacious of you . I just hate people who use forced humour............I'm funny, me.
Reminds me of Colin Hunt (Charlie Higson ) in the Fast Show. "Wrighty" wasn't particularly funny in the 80's and certainly isn't now !
I must admit that Steve Wright wasn't my favourite 'big name' but i thought he was ok.
Once Ken Bruce has gone, the only show on Radio 2 that i'll tune in to in the future is Johnnie Walker's show on Sunday afternoons (for as long as that lasts!!).

I wonder if Steve Wright will end up at Greatest Hits or Boom?

I’ve been very mute re Pearson but I don’t think it’s getting or going to get any better. Who do we bring in? Not the best job in the world but to any manager out of work it’s a job.
Cotts!

Whilst I admire that manager, why come here & still be on limited resources.
I can't honestly see the point, have faith mate .
Fair comment but....
For him, unfinished business perhaps?
For us, his ability to get the most out of limited resources?
(I know, I know, call me bat-shit crazy )

There's a Manager doing a very good job on limited resources over at Shrewsbury.
He might be worth considering should a vacancy occur...........

I watched this for the second time on the Legend Channel last night.
The first time I watched it was back in 1971 (?) at the cinema.
The film was considered shocking back in 1971 because of the explicitly violent massacre scene at the end.
Last night, i remembered why i'd fallen ever so slightly in love with Candice Bergen back in 1971 (well, a lot, actually).
