  1. I thought it had finished, but they put in her supporter number and deducted £2 (I think) from the price of the t-shirt. If not from the rewards balance, maybe there is a discretionary discount until the new scheme is out?
  2. Do you have any credit left on your season card from last season? My daughter went down there last Saturday to get me the black on black t-shirt for Father’s Day. She took her season card and asked about the usual discount, but nothing was available at the moment. He did put her supporter number in and found she had a couple of quid on there from purchases, so took that off the price. Not quite 10%, but something.
  3. As someone mentioned earlier, first impressions were of Halfords. Like it though.
  4. Thank you for this. I did have a 'man look' as my missus would say, but couldn't find anything. Note to self, scroll down the page more!
  5. Thanks for the replies. Was planning on Ashton Drive, coming out on to Winterstoke Road by The Robins and turning right.
  6. Another question, I hope someone can answer, how much of Winterstoke Road do they close off? Looks like I am on taxi duty and wondered where to meet them.
  7. I had the feeling LJ thought he could turn him into the next big money player. Seem to remember it being said, LJ wanted a full pre-season with him to get up to speed, as he wasn't fit enough when he came in on loan. There were also social media posts from KP aimed at the club/LJ about how he was working hard on his fitness throughout the summer, before signing for us.
  8. Wonder if it is anything to do with backroom staff? Andy King's new role? Just haven't told CF that he is off yet!
  9. That sounds right, I always thought John Galley got a hattrick and Dickie Rooks got the other 2. Someone on Twitter said this was also their first match and they remember it as 1-3 at half time and he also remembers Dickie getting a couple.
  10. It all seemed to fall into place for me, we were right in the Eastend, the match was fantastic and I just loved the noise and the atmosphere. Hooked and the football became a big part of my life, wherever I was in the world. Even in the Falklands, I had a local reporter sending me match reports regularly.
  11. My old man kept taking me down Eastville, but I never felt the love. His sister, Deb was a mad city fan and took me along to Ashton Gate. 23 October 1971, vs Leyton Orient. I always remember us being 0-3 down at half time, but John Galley came on for the second half and we won 5-3. As an 8 year old it was manic, amazing and I was hooked. Didn’t miss many matches for about 8 years. Joined The Army and for the next 24 years got to as many games as I could. Season ticket holder again as soon as I came back to Bristol.
  12. We also looked forward to our curry and red stripe on Easter Monday. Disappointed they were closed. Spoke to them yesterday and it was because the van broke down, fully loaded with food, but couldn’t get there. Nans curry and a double sized red stripe yesterday made up for it.
  13. One, possibly two codes here. Message and I will pass them on.
  14. S Sorry for late reply, if you haven’t had any codes, we have 2 spare (4 tickets). Maybe another code, but can’t confirm until tomorrow. Let me know.
  15. Will have a look when I get home from work. Sure we have a couple spare.
  16. Don’t let them see this, they will be playing with themselves all week as they are above us! Had a chuckle at 29 mind.
  17. When I was working with young offenders, we had a couple of Vietnamese shipped in claiming to be 16. They had to have dental and bone scans which apparently help age people. The report back suggested both were at least in their mid thirties!
  18. Cheers, could of sworn it was Fowlers when I bought the bike in the late 70's. Wonder if they were bought out or merged? As I remember I had to go down Temple Meads to make the make the final payments.
  19. I remember Fowlers Bikes up in Kingswood, in Moravian Road. Bought my AP50 from there! Pretty sure they then moved to Temple Meads.
  20. The Crawley players were doing a lap around the pitch and some stopped watching what was going on in the away end! The drive home hilarious, listening to the comments on the radio.
  21. The Unigate club was up on the corner of Robertson Road. Became the white swan and now flats I think.
  22. Then you must be in disguise! The last time I saw or heard anything from them, was a couple of pissed up middle aged blokes in The Swan down Conham. I like most of your posts, but your not “bigging” up your support again? Next time I am out for a pint, I will check outside, to see how many have been locked out!?
  23. There are not many of them left around here. We have been working hard for a few years getting the kids down the gate. A couple left in deepest, darkest Hanham, but that's it. I can see Ashton Gate from the house. Cheers me up no end getting up on a morning, pulling the curtains and seeing the stadium in the distance. Old girl opposite doesn't share my enthusiasm though and has complained to the police a couple of times, so I must remember to get dressed first.
  24. They were giving away corporate, I had four, so gave them to a lad who said he supported the rent boys. He never went!
