  1. Did we have a similar one for the Putin's invasion of Ukraine?
  2. I totally agree. I was fortunate to see him not that long after he was sacked. Lovely guy to talk to. Water under the bridge of course, but I will always believe that had he been backed in the recruitment he had lined up, we would have had a great chance of progressing.
  3. Andre Gray, like the others mentioned (apart from Gayle who was a bit of an after thought and never a serious target) were "done deals". At least that's what Cotts believed before going on a break. In my opinion of course
  4. As far as I know he attends every game, but not sure about the women's fixtures. He's often around at Senior Reds meetings. He's on FB, maybe a FB messenger message might work?
  5. Apparently his nickname at Derby was traffic cone
  6. Perhaps they're playing until the ref gives them a pen
  7. No interest in rugby, but watching the Tour of Lombardy, last big race of the season
  8. Rubbish game, brilliant brace from TC steals the points
  9. Looks like we've stolen this. Thank god we've got one decent player tonight
  10. The traffic was so bad I was, unfortunately, still in the car listening to RB when JB was being interviewed. What a very odd and deeply unpleasant person he is. He really isn't totally sane. At least that's what I thought. Yet inexplicably the blue few love him.
  11. Faes is probably their best defender in the first half, Sam's not getting anywhere against him
  12. I was reliably told that he is having his op on Tuesday.
  13. Jerry also gave a stadium tour at 10am for those who were interested. It was very interesting and a real eye opener for those like me who have generally only experienced the concourse and seating part of the new stadium
  14. I wish I could have. Had to go to Cribbs with Mrs F R and instead of happily browsing OTIB sat on one the benches, I had no alternative but to feign interest and enter the shops! ??
  15. That's why the best vantage points are on climbs. I was at the top of Providence Lane, saw Andre Greipel breeze up there and he was not a good climber, made you realise how fit they all are. Also seeing Cav casualty chatting to Wiggins as they cruised up Charfield Hill a few years ago was quite a sight. It's an opportunity to see some of the best cyclists in action without having to travel far. Worth going to the start as well, as I did when it was in Bath a few years ago. Also stood on the Champs Elysees for over six hours to watch the Tour. At least they go past several times ?
  16. That's another descent I gingerly negotiate. I'm almost as slow going down them as going up them! Same going down Hinton Hil ? And I'm wary of the cows on Hawkesbury common, but haven't been attacked yet?
  17. It's a tough climb, as is Stinchcombe, which they all sailed up at some pace making it look easy??
  18. I'll look out for filled potholes the next time I go down there ??. But these guys go so fast they probably skip over the rough bits! When I go down there it's always with brakes almost full on! ?
