  1. Me too.....he did all the work excellently......making Prem defenders look like the were stood still.........I was willing him to shoot.....could have been a FA Cup goal shown on the reel of memories going forward. Alas, he opted to pass to his right....
  2. Agree - McCrorie still lingers in midfield (with some pretty impressive in field play I might add) and I would like him to take advantage of the opponents half (like Sykes does....just runs). A couple of times last night Tanner carried the ball forward and McCrorie made no attempt to provide an option going up the line....in one case Tanner went past him, looked up then passed it backward too him. Appreciate that he is only just back...I'm enthused by this touch and vision.
  3. Agree.....its just white noise that follows deafening music that's played to the point of cracking. The whole AV / Media set up at AG is cringey.

I thought this at the time, combined with a solid first time pass without the need control it. That was good vision, it took courage and was a highlight of the game for me. I've been highly critical of MOL in the recent past, his confidence is growing, his positioning is improving, his distribution is improving....keep up the excellent work Max!
  5. Agreed. Love a 'rustic, earthy' setting though.

Luckily, I'm old enough (and definitely ugly enough) to have my own opinions and express them without fear of being cancelled (as I really don't care) or self censure. Max deffo needs to sort his kicking out....preferably not with the Bristol Bears coaches.....who have now clearly assisted him in mastering kicking it into touch 85% of the time.
  7. This is key - we look static or like asthmatic snails when we win a throw - need to get some urgency and create some options- this will not completely eradicate the issue but should improve it.
  8. Its like always playing the same lottery numbers (still my long term financial plan) - supporting City is like being in a relationship with someone you know is bad for you - you know its going to hurt eventually but you just have to keep on seeing them....Optimism Bias!

Especially the "worldie" against West Ham - Was surprised to see that he didn't get thread of his own - he did mke a few errors that day too - reticence to come an collect / missing it when he did. He has been pretty solid of late - if we can maintain that and improve his kicking I'd be a happy camper....
  10. It's about bravery / willingness to back ourselves......we have a 'safety first' / possession based approach which (normally) yields few opportunities (admit that this has started to change)...but, more importantly, invites teams onto us applying pressure. Whilst we look generally robust at the back......We will come undone through needless pi55ing with the ball at the back. Millwall last minute goal is evidence of this. Need also to be more clinical / ruthless when we have our opportunities- again, about backing ourselves.
  11. Must admit, I used to rush back to the car post match to listen to NP's view on the game. Haven't listened to a single LM pre / post game chat....its almost an unconscious 'not my coach' position - we have times where we look really positive going forward....but it takes an age to get going. Feel like it's returned to a comfortable environment, the lack of team depth means that selection is all but guaranteed for some....where are the motivators? Need some igniting and exciting football, accurate, fast moving to get a crowd going. Taking 3 passes to cover the ground that 1 could have only to play backward (sometimes all the way back to MOL) and concede that ground is not only wasting effort but frustrating to watch Not intended as a negative post - more a how I see / feel things are.
  12. Have to love the budgie smugglers....irrespective of how cold it maybe!
  13. I bet it will not be what we all expect. What are my odds?
  14. I will miss this guy, so many fantastic memories, high work rate, great level of professionalism. Deserved the Capts armband. Great goals. All the best mate - I know you'll have a positive impact at WBA.
  15. Sounds so simple...difficult to employ when you have a static team all facing you (rather that the supposed direction of travel). Can't believe how static we have become in games..throws.....general passing. No one seemingly coaching movement off the ball....
  16. Lowly Bristol City defeat Premier League Play-off contenders.
  17. Listened to the game until half time seemingly all over Preston.......had to go for an appointment came out and we're two down....what the **** is going on with this club?

This has genuinely saddened me. All the best Sven!
