"I keep hearing about this so called consortium from various sources. Would somebody be kind enough to tell us who they are, as we are very curious to find out ourselves! That doesn't sound like he knows much about it to me but it's not an outright denial. Then again, as you say, he has been known to tell the odd porkie.

Sooo Higgs comes out and says he knows NOTHING about the supposed consortium who are supposed to be buying r**ers, building the UWE AND investing £Millions in the team yet their forum think it's still happening! We're supposed to be the deluded ones aren't we?

This should give you a good laugh (posted on their forum)..... I have a sound source who says it's a possibility the main backer of the consortium could be he who must live in Guernsey. Could be potentially looking to create a business conference planning and hosting enterprise - venues could include the new AG, the UWE and potentially one new site. Investing in Rovers might basically be a sideline to getting into that and could allow an interest in Rovers so they can be set up as the City feeder club. I know quite a bit more than this but can't say for legal reasons. I'm telling you all of this in the best interests of the club. A 12000-15000 seater stadium with a running track on the UWE site according to their forum. The pikeys will own just 1/3 of it and pay rent to the other owners. They have to give 2/3 of everything to the others and give up all the car parking money (£1M pa supposedly). They are screwed!

I actually sat through most of the sags match on the tele and thought my nippers comment was quite apt. 'Why is it in slow motion dad'? They weren't as bad as I expected but it certainly wasn't good but by god it was sooo slow in comparison to the level we are at plus an obvious lack of quality at times.

Apart from Kodjia, we started with last seasons starting side (goal keeper apart) especially last years defence and look what happens! A massive well done to Cotts and the lads!!

My understanding is that their 'Wonga' loan was secured against the (:laugh:) 'stadium'. The Mem is owned by a totally separate company from the football club IIRC. That company is owned by Higgs and Dunford so they must have agreed to risk their equity. The loan doesn't affect the football club directly if my understanding is right, wether they will still have a home ground is debatable but the loan is secured against the Mem, not the football club. They're screwd anyway!!
