Maybe we should have an image of some tape across the chest to suit our reputation of being the team who end runs?

    New short sponsor, Immodium!

  2. Just took a look at his coaching staff, it looks like Chris Hogg has followed him around, was at MK and now oxford as such I think we can safely say he will end up here also.

The rest, Craig Short, Wayne Brown (ex City) and Derek Fazackerley pre-dated Manning so at a guess will stay put.

Lets hope he also knows a good physio,

After last weeks mess, the club got in touch in the week and instead of refunding me what they worked out to be the cost of one game on the season pass (£3.75) they refunded me the full £140. Pass still works but surely they can't refund me anything else and perhaps they've just decided it's going to be like this for the rest of the season so just go the full refund out the way!

Glad i didn't try to give them the money back now. Utter shambles.

Same happened to me after I complained last week.  Logged in today and the pass still worked!

Hopefully that will be closer to a bluff than fact. Somewhere between 2-4 needed still IMO, accepting that Murphy is somewhat of a development player.

Gardner-Hickman and Murphy are welcome but we very much need to reduce the absentees and keep then well reduced moving forward.

Didn't Nige say the same last week about being up to the budget on wages, he has already signed one since and another in Murphy is due in imminently.

I'm hoping too that it's more bluff than fact.

  5. Of the 2 I think Ap Sion will the the one to watch, a friend of mine was talking to Tin's about youngsters at the club and when he got to Ap Sion Tins said "what a talent"!

I have seen Ben Acey play a few times, he is the same age as Alex and I think out of contract at the end of the year.  He is very neat and tidy on the ball but lacks that bit of physicality,  I could be wrong but it would be a surprise to me if he made the step up.

    Playing premier league football?

I thought it was a strange move at first but most the “experts” are predicting a 13th/14th place finish for Bournemouth this season. Of course that doesn’t guarantee anything but certainly not one of the favourites to go down.

Hopefully he impresses enough to get a bigger move in 12 months and we can get a nice sell on fee.

Much better chance to get this somewhere like Bournemouth than if he goes to a bigger club.  That being said still waiting for Kelly's, Webster's and Brownhill's to come through!

I mean this is objectively utter tripe isn't it?

He didn't go down, can you imagine if this had been Bruno? He'd still be in intensive care.

He didn't go down when Pickford shoved him, he laughed.

He's a shithouse, for sure. One of the best/worst depending on your viewpoint. But "biggest crybaby in football"? Not even close.

If not the biggest cry baby arguably the least likeable in the league alongside Fernandes

@Jerseybean posted last Sunday that he was told he had signed from the Guernsey end. Do we announce 17 year olds on the OS?

He also mentioned that there was a young striker, Sol Solomon, on trial on the mainland and wandered if that was us too?

Ben Acey is in the Guernsey squad today as such doesn't look like he has signed yet.

    Unless he's done a Meteb

  9. It's good to see him doing well out there. That being said the standard is pretty low from the games I have seen out there, below league 2 level.

I got thinking about players we have signed from the Irish leagues and how they have done.  Patrick Hoban for example, scored over 100 goals in around 200 appearances in league of Ireland and managed 7 in 75 in the English leagues.

Andy Smith is another, I don't think he ever scored a goal in English football, all I can remember of him was that he ran around a lot.

Like many others on this thread I trust the club when it comes to moving on these players as you very rarely hear of them again.

  10. Hopefully with Alex Scott we already have our first premier league footballer in the pipeline from the Channel Islands.

Not to turn this into a Jersey versus Guernsey thread but I have a friend who is a youth coach at a Guernsey club (same one Alex Scott played for).  Says Chelsea and Southampton are over there all the time and they have had a couple of players picked up by Man Utd so well worth scouting in that part of the world.
