Nope sorry never heard of it

Needs to do the same body conditioning regime as Bobby Reid did, he seemingly took one summer to totally change body shape. I keep telling myself I'll do the same one summer. Honest.

From what I've seen they're mostly in the cubicles snorting overpriced talcum powder, talking (excitedly) about causing trouble, instead of actually doing it

Is O'Dowda the answer to our striker problems?
Bernard Lerring replied to dREDful's topic in Football Chat
I felt like I saw a fair bit of strolling around from palmer last night. His attempt at pressing was embarrassing for someone with fresh legs -

Using cod and palmer to protect a lead is like using a rizla as flood protection -
You're not getting round to suggesting that we could do with a number of pillars (say 5 for example) to make things more secure at the club are you?!

Should we be expecting more from James & King?
Bernard Lerring replied to headhunter's topic in Football Chat
Different opinions I guess... Prior to the big injury, was he injured often? I don't think he was. Obviously you can't ignore the big injury but I think it's circumstantial I see koreys availability at Swansea being evidence that he was one of the victims of Dr death (Andy Rolls). Before Rolls' shambles attempt at koreys rehab, he was probably playing more than 90% of our games, and he was one of the few players to immediately step up to championship level imho. -

I think you're right, our midfield was non existent on Saturday. As the two senior players in the middle they have to shoulder some of the blame for that. The General consensus amongst our group was that korey Smith would've made it a much tougher day for Bournemouths midfield. I'm reluctant to say pato as well as we all know how inconsistent he was and (I'm sure) will continue to be. Korey on the other hand was dependable week in, week out. I'd rather have him back over either King or James -
Your guess is as good as mine. I can't remember the last time he positively & substantially impacted a game

Why has COD been paid by us for 5ish years. How many other players get that much time to prove they're bang average? Nice way to earn a living I guess!

West brom away, boxing day '07. One by one all my mates dropped out of attending, so I thought I'd go on my own anyway as I was living up that way We played shite, got spanked 4-1, it was brutally cold and to top it all off I had to go back to living in Brum. Never again.

The price of the pints is annoyingly high, but it isn't massively different to surrounding pubs. Need to make your peace with it or drink elsewhere Much more annoying though is when you end up getting one of the tepid ones that's been pre-poured for half an hour ?

Sorry, probably put it a bit strongly (posting after a couple of beers!). I too have overall good memories of his tenure. My distaste was really aimed at the way he conducts himself, rather than his ability or achievements here (which of course I'd like to re live, who wouldn't). It's a shame because he's a well meaning and seemingly capable guy. I've just always preferred humble people to smart-arses

I assume it's the johnson connection. Some fans just didn't, and i guess still don't, want to see him succeed. Personally it's not that I dislike johnson, it's just that I can't bear the thought of the utter drivel he'd start spouting if they were to start being successful. His pseudo-smart ramblings really were insufferable at times, and if it takes Sunderland losing to protect me from re-living that pain, then so be it!

If carlsberg did Saturdays, the gas would've lost to someone other than Swindon. Still can't stand 'em

Fulham at home match-day thread

I blame Andy Rolls -
I find this curious too - i do realise SL might have to be seen to not publicly slate Ashton. But if an employee of mine had been exposed (eventually) as performing so badly, I'd choose to say nothing at all about them publicly, not positive opinions which I don't genuinely hold. SL must be way more understanding / tactile than me obviously!

The Office (UK): Ipswich Town edition
Bernard Lerring replied to LondonBristolian's topic in Football Chat
Ashtons move to Ipswich is the most important 'transfer' in City's recent history. Hard to believe that there could have been any single individual bought or sold that could have changed the club's fortune so much Watching this go tits up will make for fascinating viewing- 2632 replies

Yeah it drives me mad when something which is free with optional attendance isn't up to the standards I expect (when I haven't made any effort to help improve it). Nice and positive.

The lansdown stand has been in training for this moment for years -
I heard his post match interview on radio Bristol and he alluded to big decisions he had to make. This was Right after the phone-in gasheads had been creaming themselves over their win and league position Absolute comedy gold. A ray of light on an otherwise shitty afternoon ?
