  1. Tonight he welcomed us to the 7:45 kick off……… at 7:55
  2. A night I’ll always remember and enjoy reminiscing about. I’ll never forget 3 minutes into the game, the guy who sits behind me (still does, sadly) berating (as he did every week) Marlon Pack “get closer to that number 6 Pack you f*%#ing donkey” someone pointed out he was a 90m player, and Pack was simply just screening Marlon was faultless that night, he had Pogba (at the time a global star) in his pocket, dictated play and had a hand in both goals. it’s crazy to look back at the starting 11, and how “basic” it was, but it worked. That was our season to be clever in January, just add a few sensible loans/perms and make the top 6, instead we started the decline. Diony, Kent, Liam Walsh to a degree. LJ suddenly assumed he was a managerial genius who could outwit everyone, and it all fell apart. But 6 years on, still a fond and not too distant memory.
  3. Naturally- there would’ve been uproar tho if we got “the cheap option from FGR, to replace the messiah Nige”
  4. Ok- Mods please shut the thread.
  5. He’s the one shifting the odds!!!!!!
  6. This is really sad to read- my DM’s are always open, and please don’t ever let yourself get to that stage again.
  7. I’d imagine Christine (Lampard) would know also. And probably Frank Snr
  8. Remove the name “Frank Lampard” and look at the CV (highlighting positives) •Got a team to the Championship Play Off final •Got a team under transfer embargo into the champions league •Built a squad that won the champions league •Saved Everton from relegation •great worldwide commercial reach •adds value to the club •Respected former elite level player •In a position where his next job will be one he simply has to succeed in Not so bad now is it.
  9. All I will add, and this *IS NOT A ITK OR CLAIM* is that last Wednesday, at the game vs Ipswich, I was told by someone who has relatively good connections with some previous and current employees that Frank Lampard was the coming in. for the record. I don’t believe it, but I’d personally be happy with FL vs others mooted.
  10. *BREAKING NEWS* Still no DM.
  11. What do you have to do to get a Dm around here?
  12. It feels like there’s actually more “acceptance” of FL this time around. Also- John never dismisses the FL link, so add that to the mix. (still can’t and don’t think it happens, despite him being my choice)
  13. but playing devils advocate, you can say that that game was the 1st game back, the subsequent 2 games, we lost, and probably didn't press as much... so maybe that's the issue
  14. I think had there been more made (before NP was sacked) about the 9/10 days off over international breaks, and the subsequent form etc, people would be circulating that once again, its too cushty down at the HPC...
  15. Just watched - This will be an unpopular opinion on here, but I thought that was far better than I expected, and far better than summarised/viewed by others so to speak - in my opinion. The fact's that will really p*ss people off are pretty clear tho- Not even 12 months ago, a high majority of the fans wanted a change at the top, (heighted after WBA home), A high majority also credited an injury, and the subsequent HT formation change vs Swansea as the turning point (ahead of this, with the same squad, we seemed stuck on 3-5-2, before the switch to 4-3-3). It's been well mooted that NP had to cut the costs, clear out the mess etc, yes of course his net spend is exceptional, but he also did invest and spend some cash- not all of these (nor should we assume they be) were great. Klose, Mehmeti (jury still out), Simpson, Cornick (jury still out), Baker (writing was on the wall with his injury record), Kane Wilson, Stefan Bajic. Outside of that is/was NP the "long term" man for us - we will never know, the good news is tho, history suggests, he leaves team in a good spot (eg Leicester and the PL win ) Hard hat on, COYR
  16. As we’re actively trying to sell the club- this is where it potentially makes sense.
  17. I for one can’t wait for the outcry and meltdown on here when we don’t appoint Frank Lampard, but instead go for Liam Manning and claim we have (again) taken the “cheap option”.
  18. Now 2/1 on sky bet. who translates to- someone had £50 on him
  19. The next job Frank Lampard takes is make or break for him. You can discount the end of last season at Chelsea, and Everton are/were a mess so he probably comes through unscathed from that to a degree, but he can’t afford another job where he doesn’t do “something”. I don’t see us as the place for him to build up his CV as a manager- it’s too risky.
  20. Excuse my ignorance. Does this (or any) statement get a reply/response? If so- is this published? Why is this statement released now, when there’s been a clear lack of comms from anyone in any power for the past 6-18 months? Does the SLO @JerrySLO have any form of communication with you/the club- if so, has he not been in a position to feedback to his bosses the severe lack of confidence in the board from the fan base (surely a key part of his role to be the bridge between the customer and the staff)
  21. Where have you been? Where are you? Your role is to communicate with the fan base- you’re nowhere to be seen.
