  1. I think he has the stature and build that he is already “beefed up” but he’s just weak/timid. I don’t think you can coach that into someone.
  2. And I think Nige has now seen this, and probably lost his patience with COD.
  3. I know it’s not FM, but you could arguably play Palmer/Scott/Wiemann behind a Wells or even a Martin on Tuesday. HNM and James can sit and those 3 would hopefully mean the ball was on the ground more, so would suit them. 4-2-3-1 we literally can’t get any worse @ home!
  4. I think the main frustration with COD comes from what he clearly can do. Purely from his build/attributes he should be someone really exciting who excels at this level. We see bits in the training videos of him beating players, scoring/assisting, he looks strong, quick, direct…. This maybe answers why he is constantly selected. But when he actually plays, he is a timid, weak, “safe” player. As much as he has been picked by all managers, he has never really nailed down a position, and he usually has 2-3 good games maximum per season (that’s a fact, and his stats back that up) He doesn’t create lots of goals, he doesn’t score lots of goals, he’s not a great outlet at carrying the ball forward, he doesn’t track back and help the team (remember Norwich away when LJ publicly stated this after his wonder goal in that game) I think he’s had more than enough chances, he’s had more than enough time to develop and become consistent, but he hasn’t, and sadly it doesn’t look like he ever will here. Because he doesn’t have assist/goal threat, you sadly can’t accommodate him in a team, Eliasson for example is far easier to justify based on him delivering as many assists in 1 season, as COD has in 6 years.
  5. Your constant defence of COD is incredible.
  6. Was clear he pulled it straight away from the stop, and then beating of the ground. poor bloke looked absolutely distraught as well- and although only 10 mins in we missed his (any) form of midfield presence. the choice to replace him with Wells was astonishing
  7. I think pathetic sums that up. Time for Bell, Janneh, Scott etc to play @ home.
  8. Palace away in the Play-Offs. That Noble gaol still gives me shivers, as does going from row 23 to row 16 as the ball hit the net.
  9. For me, we’re now competitive. every game this season that hasn’t been a draw, has been within a 1 goal margin, so we don’t capitulate to big defeats (yet- that’ll come) not do we go out and thrash teams (again, that’ll happen) But when you look at where we were, and what we put up with, to this….there’s some pride back in that shirt now. Nige is in the very early stages of a revamp, and after 11 games he’s got us 16 points, (1.45 ppg)- that’s the progress I want. 10-15th this season, and then allowing him to add a few more players next summer (he’s already stated Jan window will be very quiet) for us to look better this year. for me the “3 year plan” is off to a very solid start. Cheers, Nige!
  10. Quiet? He’s suppose to influence the game. 1 pathetic over hit cross. 1 pathetic dive. Zero effect on the game, as an impact sub. He isn’t the answer- he doesn’t offer us anything outside of 50 minutes every season.
  11. Lots of positives to take from that IMO- We look far better than last season Williams looks just what we need Tanner getting better every game Bakinson surely won’t start again COD once again proved his shouldn’t be anywhere near the squad
  12. Stinks of 1-0 Millwall this. But really positive signs from Williams and Tanner.
  13. Joe Williams looks exactly what we need/needed last season. great so far tonight
  14. Might as well have Kasey on for the added attacking threat
