  1. 27/6 for the first defendants and then 2/7 . we had to split them as too many for 1 court day.
  2. No difference, we haven’t attended, I have spoken to the security who are checking their cctv , I will then take a crime report as per home office rules when there has been crime committed which in this case there is , criminal damage. We still currently attend all house burglaries where a residential home has been broken into .
  3. Yes cctv will be checked tomorrow by rovers security staff
  4. Unfortunately I don’t deal with that side of football policing freedom of information request would be appropriate to get answers regarding questions around finance as I don’t get involved in that side of things thank god !!
  5. 1) police football officers , wearing high viz tabards with blue shoulders, normally located not too far away from a coffee bar? 2) of course !? 3) yes it is this season
  6. Good question police free within our force area is 2 home spotters and 2 away spotters . We call it police free or spotter only. Other forces are similar , I personally don’t know what selhurst park do but often spotter only games are called police free as there are no other additional police allocated to it. Some smaller clubs have completely police free games where no police officers or spotters are involved . It is wholly dependent on the risk each game poses and is done on a match by match basis . There are 5 gradings used on a national level that each club will use. They are police free, spotters only, a grade , b grade or c grade . There is also a c grade with increased risk grading (known as c-ir) football clubs in our force area only pay for a grades and above . it is a very cloudy area between police free and spotters only , as some forces state games are police free when in fact spotters were allocated !
  7. Thank you, certainly changed over the last few years. I often point out to fans at meetings and during match day that often there are only 2 Bristol police officers on for most games of football , previously this figure would have been much higher. As always I would ask people to consider the ride a long scheme, you can apply and come out for a shift with a response officer, neighbourhood officer or our ost units that do operational support . It is very much an eye opener ! All we ask is that you bring doughnuts !!
  8. You would be surprised at the amount of requests we get to be that! Much prefer the Community engagement way ?
  9. Yep police presence at all games for both clubs this season other than check a trade. community engagement and speaking to fans about what we do is far easier to do on the quieter games.
  10. Yes the figures were available via turn stiles and yes you are not far wrong, on some quieter games at city and rovers we might do something like that!! Loser gets the coffees in !!
  11. Nope I was fortunate enough to be in the nice warm and dry controlbox last night .
  12. No there weren’t i was present and definitely only 96, confirmed by cctv as I counted them !!!!
  13. The standing away terrace was closed today. Scunthorpe fans were housed in the seats in the away section of the south stand
  14. Yes I would agree with the figure 100.
  15. I am used to people on here not agreeing with me !
  16. Yes you are correct, definitely much more than normal handbags! i am confident we are not going back to the 70s but at this time there has been an increase in football related disorder nationally, it is not normally as violent as this but there is an increase particularly the lower leagues . lots of debate as to why, but nevertheless I think it is important to point out these people are very much in the minority and not normal football fans. Hope rovers form picks up soon, I was at burton and rovers fans were very subdued about everything, not like them at all!!
  17. Yes it was more significant than that! Dogs are fine, back out and about today thankfully.
  18. I was working this game yesterday and present at all of this disorder. It was probably one of the most violent football disorders I have been involved for a number of years. i am very very happy that the dogs were present, without them there would have no doubt been considerably more disorder and injuries to police officers. I will be sending them a box of bonios with thanks!!! i am continuing reviewing footage and will identify any offenders who have been caught committing offences. we have released a statement and are keen to point out this is a very small minority of so called fans, I am hopeful for further arrests from both sides once footage has been reviewed.
  19. Not retiring yet ! pc Thomas is also a police spotter but to my knowledge has not taken over my role! Pc Thomas was dealing with incident being reported by henbury gas and visited him with me. not sure who this message is from as I have checked my e mail at 1800 and not had one .
  20. I was present at this game, I can confirm there was no family section next to rovers fans
