  1. Come on @Hot Air..............https://giphy.com/gifs/netflix-andrew-garfield-ttb-tick-boom-fuzFaCLVtrIqxor9mp
  2. HONESTLY??????? See this belter's well thought out supporting statement below. As usual, they are using Gasthematics to boost their own sad beliefs!!!! Comment Details Commenter Type: Other Stance: Customer made comments in support of the Planning Application Comment Reasons: Comment:I am a regular attender at the Memorial Stadium. Many times over the last couple of seasons Bristol Rovers have had attendances larger than the current maximum attendance. Therefore there is a clear need for additional capacity at the Memorial Stadium.
  3. I'm really not technical at all, but I'm assuming that when you mention NFC, the N is for "No" and the C is for "Chance". I'm stumped on the middle letter though.
  4. I renewed my membership a couple of days ago and received the confirmation email. I then got a 6 year old to find Google Wallet on my phone. Then went into my Bristol Sport account and can see this season’s membership on my page, with a tick box next to it. However, when I tick that box it’s not giving an option to add to Wallet. Neither the 6 year old nor an 11 year old can advise me on what I should do next. Email the club, maybe. All suggestions welcomed, ta.
  5. "Right own up, who’s behind this???" A valid question @petehinton..............whoever posted that on gas shat is a very naughty boy, girl or indeterminate. Also they are a clear role model to those of our ilk who sadly still have a sag 'mate'. The above snippet should be introduced into the next converstion with said 'mate' quite early on. This rumour can only gain speed over on that forum the more times it's dropped into conversations!! Good luck all. Sadly, I got banned from the forum a long time ago for innocently floating the idea that I was a Malta based squillionaire gas fan looking to invest in the biggest club in bris!
  6. NURSE???? The screens!!!!!!!!! Good luck and best wishes - will give it a stiff perusal on Saturday
  7. I sort of stopped looking at the objections as they are all quite commonly based on the family club not consulting with the residents, so I've been enjoying those entries supporting the new stand. Comment Details Commenter Type: Other Stance: Customer made comments in support of the Planning Application Comment Reasons: Comment:Application is supported the new temporary stand will improve the experience of fans home and away. The increased in fans numbers will have a positive impact on local businesses bringing in more money. The stadium has had 12000 fans in the recent past and the new temporary stand will be of significant benefit to the neighbours compared to previous temporary stand. Bristol Rovers do lots to support local communities from children to OAPs. I fully support this application 12000 fans.........Eh??????
  8. So pleased you came through the other side after your illness. Positive outcome that we hope EVdS can follow your lead on this awful illness. OTIB
  9. NFL experience……….Not F'in Likely
  10. I see that some over there fancied Brett Pitman for a final hurrah at the 'stadum' of blight. Just signed for......Shaftesbury though. Hey ho.
  11. In my school days when captains chose their teams in order of merit or popularity, I was always that lad in the final two or three - I was skinny as a rake, buck teeth and glasses wth a sticking plaster over one lense. Good enough for the Welsh League a few years later, mind! Back to the orginal model these days though........well, apart from the skinny bit.
  12. Now here's an old bloke question for you young 'uns. Not been a ST holder for a few years but now back in the UK, I have to go for it. Is the ST a physical thing that I keep in my ar5e pocket OR is it an app thingie on a mobile phone that I have to wave at a laser scanner? Dumb question, I know......but it's an age thing! Any thoughts welcome just in case I need to go on a mobile phone training course. Thanks in advance. VAMOS, ROJOS
  13. Niclas and AEK have only gone and won the Greek cup as well on Wednesday. First season in their 'new' stadium.......built on the footprint of the old Nikos Goumas ground at Nea Filadelfia. Can't wait to visit the ground next season to rekindle old friendships, especially wih my personal beer sponsors in Monastiraki ? ? So, when the G*s move into their brand spankng new 'Greengrocerstad' in a few weeks, we must be expecting similar achievements ?
  14. Again, I'd refer to the answer I gave earlier relating to my aged condition. Satisfaction is an extremely remote possibility in my world!
  15. I'm too old to have the tcehnical know how., I'm afraid..........over to you younger boys and girls to fulfill my daydreams! I'm sure someone will remember her and her equally delicious mate.
  16. I seem to recall a recent Gas season tckets video that paraded a real slice from their ranks. I'm now torn between PRs partner and the Gas beaut. ?
  17. Pretty sure we ended up with 9 men on the pitch if that's the same game. The driest part of me that day was my tongue
  18. I think Panathinaikos came in at the second qualifying round last year, so probably the same for AEK
  19. The Greek league wasn't overly taxing when I was AEKs token English idiot in the crowd in the. 90s, probably improved now with the Greek economy having recovered (remember Grexit, anyone?). Maybe at our championship level now. I liked Elisson as a raw youngster who had potential. But if you're looking like not signing a new contract, then it's a 'yassas' from me. Good luck to the bloke though.
  20. Champions league footy next season for Niclas. AEK have won the Greek super league by 5 points,, despite having been 10 points behind Panathinaikos around Christmas. Having spent many a good time with the Gate 21 crew back in my Athens days, I'm well chuffed for him, the team and the fans. Not city related, I know but will be an opportunity to have a glance at one of our old boys in the Champions league though.
  21. The travelling Rotherham fans showed really good grace that afternoon (May 5th 2007). Already relegated, good turnout and gave our team a very respectful standing ovation long after the end of the game. A win guaranteed us promotion (behind.......Sc'thorpe!!!) regardless of what Forest or Blackpool did. City delivered a comprehensive performance so the nerves in the East End weren't overly stretched. Forest drew at home 0-0. Blackpool gubbed the Swans away 6-3. I also remember a Swampy type bloke giving a quality performance on a drum at half time to the Papa's got a brand new pigbag tune. A great day all round. My best prediction today..........both teams to start with 11 men. Apart from that, I'm clueless as usual!
