One thing I've been wrestling with is why they didn't sack NP at the end of last season. That actually would have made more sense than doing it when they did if you believe, as I do, that they essentially wanted to get rid. The fan unrest would have been there but would have had no focal point - two months until the next game etc. The new man would have time to work with the players, and we could have recruited properly with the board presumably wanting to support a new manager.

They sacked NP at the first relatively opportune moment anyway (after 5 defeats in 7). They must have known we wouldn't really be challenging for the top six.

Of course, they wouldn't have appointed LM in the summer.

Perhaps they had vague notions rather than clear plans.

The only thing is I don't think fans unrest bothers SL or JL in the slightest, they almost seem to revel in it .

  2. Still ******* gutted he's gone.

No he wasn't perfect, as nobody is, but he was the first gaffer in ages that I actually felt could take us somewhere.

One Nigel Pearson, there's only one Nigel Pearson.

Thanks for all you did manage to get done for BCFC, Nige. And take care.

  3. In his day, maybe the coolest rock star on the planet.

Not so cool being dead by the age of 36 and of his own doing,

but you know that they say only the good die young,

and Phil was bleeding good by anybody's standards.

    ******* loved them as a 3 piece.

A bit of balance here I think - firstly Manning has never managed in the Championship which imo gives him some leeway but because of that probably doesn’t appreciate what a healthy club he’s joined but he’s never been under such scrutiny at other clubs previously which might be why his interviews are……different……….:cool2:

The players he’s inherited are as fit as they’ve ever been. He has an abundance of youngsters plus experienced players to select from and with some senior guys to return from injury.

Its understandable that he’d want to employ his own ideas and strategies which we all know will take time and as others have said we all need to give him that.

Lets see where we are in 10 games before start crucifying him.

10, and I wont wait one second longer.

He did come out onto the pitch at the end of the game today though!?

I think I saw him out there. I don't think he went straight down the tunnel as some have suggested.

He's hardly going to go over to the fans all enthusiastic,  we bleeding lost.

I feel for the guy tbh.

It isn't his fault that SL, JL and Tinnion are all crackers.
