  1. Solid performance today, a clean sheet without any massive Bentley saves is a great sign. And always worth reminding everyone, Cristiano Ronaldo has Alex Scott pyjamas.
  2. In my eyes we've got a lot of players with the POTENTIAL to bring us a big fee, but very few that would in say, January. I could see Scott, Massengo, Atkinson, Conway, Tanner going for good money one day. If any were to have a really big season the fee would sky rocket. But I think we need some money in now, and I can only see Kalas or Bentley bringing in a useful fee. And I think we need both of them here ensuring we stay the right side of the bottom three this season.
  3. Salah is something else. Lovely goal tonight.
  4. Must be hard watching your next door neighbours and fiercest rivals embarrass you. That said you’re spot on, gotta stand with your team.
  5. I was at the final when we beat Walsall 2-0. Not the most spectacular match but a really great day with great people. My guts will churn the first time a club’s academy wins the trophy! I want to see Carlisle’s and Crewe’s lifting it, making club history and amazing memories for fans.
  6. Looking over the scores from the other leagues tonight, I notice how few U21 sides remain in the EFL trophy with a fair way still to go in the competition. Villa’s kids have just followed suit. There are a lot of reasons I don’t want to go down, but the biggest has to be I’d hate to see us playing Brighton’s (or whoever’s) youngsters. I really hope they ditch the U21’s soon, or scrap the competition outright. I really feel they’ve ruined a good thing. Am I just being a miserable bugger? What are people’s thoughts?
  7. It’s going to be very fun sharing a league with the richest club in England next year ?
  8. I actually don't think he should be frozen out entirely. He's got that bit about him and some games our creativity is close to nil. I know he's frustrating on his day but you'd be hard pressed to find many in our team that aren't.
  9. What a banging goal that winner was. After everyone below us won on the weekend (barring the two who played one another - who drew), it’s nice to see an actual useful result. I actually cheered that winner!
  10. Following that very disappointing performance against Sheffield U: Cundy Baker - Get well soon Bakes. Tanner James King Williams Hope for some returns prior to next Saturday. It’s a big one at home to Derby. We go in with some actual home form, 7 points from 3, and need to take 3 more. The players are going to need us, so let’s forget today’s crap and be ready for a big day at AG. COYR.
  11. Really hope Matty James is back next Saturday. And he’s not another one where we’re told it’s not too serious then they vanish for 47 years. I also really hope that the FFP people on the forum are wrong and there’s some scope to spend in January because we need to. These performances where we look so abject at the basics of football need to sodding stop.
  12. Couple new niggles for the injury list after our important win against Stoke gave us breathing room. Great result. COYR. Cundy Baker (New, seems mild) Tanner James (Soon) King Williams (New, seems mild) Unfortunate to see one area, central midfield, hit so hard. Plus side, Ty is in form and Han is ready to go. Fingers crossed one of James or Williams pop up on the Sunday team sheet.
  13. Don’t begrudge him it whatsoever, he was useful in possession when we were struggling to break out, and of course scored the winner. Kalas for me though, just.
  14. Gotta be result - if not performance - of the season. And that’s no criticism at all, all the lads battled like warriors today. Credit rightly going to COD, Bakinson and the youngsters today but have to shout out all of the back 3, and Atkinson when he came on. Kalas was brilliant after he was cruelly punished for one error on Saturday. Crap rambling post but in a nutshell, good defending and COYRRRRRR
  15. I’m guessing this will be on Robins TV? Outside the Saturday 3pm blackout and not picked up by Sky.
  16. 10 goal involvements by November, I will not see any Weimann criticism today! We’d be buried without his goals, he’s been scoring at the best rate of his career.
  17. Are Baker and Atkinson confirmed as well Fevs? Or are we assuming so based on the nature of initial injury?
  18. I believe things are looking a bit rosier now regarding injuries. A win against Blackburn on Saturday to truly put the Cov debacle behind us and things will be sweet once more. As OTIB understands it: King James Cundy Tanner is our injured list. So some names we will miss for sure but at least we've cut it to four. COYR.
  19. That’s the beginning of a nice run of games. Put some distance between us and the ‘uh oh we’re in the shite’ places I hope.
  20. We’ve definitely solidified ourselves as an elite international side now I reckon. Happy days.
  21. Just remember if that image upsets or frustrates you, you're being affected by the style of cotton a complete stranger puts on their body. Little bit of perspective for ya.

Surprised with Nige out for an unspecified time we’re not bringing in someone to help with the load. But I think it’s the right call to keep Nige on and to wait until he’s ready (now I’ve calmed down post Saturday). Unless we continue to plummet and he’s still unwell, not sure what we do then. Need to get behind Fleming and hope Nige is back and ready for our favourable run of fixtures starting in a few weeks time. This is going to be a tough season so the club are going to need us. We’re far from relegated yet ladies and gents. COYR
  23. Wonder if we’ll find out more about Pearson’s illness. Fingers crossed he’ll be fighting fit soon.
