  1. I know people get mad when you say it still but we sacked Nige at a very stupid time. Aim your vitriol at the babies in the boardroom.
  2. One win in nine, come on Liam. That’s below par. I knew Leeds were good, I didn’t realise the gap was THAT big. Sad eye opener. One more game to save the season (for now), Forest away. Everything crossed… Few bumps and bruises but nothing too scary. Injured: Atkinson Naismith Benarous Twine Sykes
  3. No new outs and no new ins. Same 20 from Tuesday night. Dire Mebude not yet eligible after his deadline day signing. I hate playing Leeds… COYR ️ Injured: Atkinson Naismith Benarous Twine Sykes
  4. That is troubling, we've signed him to be our central striker.
  5. Yea his ceiling is likely below Tammy's (incoming jokes about his living situation) but everyone has to start somewhere. Also - Chelsea moved on a young Salah and KDB. Club's get it wrong A LOT. Hyperbolic example but you get my point
  6. Looks like just 3 senior career appearances, all in Belgium thus far. Just an observation, not a criticism, 3 more senior appearances than Tammy had!
  7. Then he has to refuse to play. What are they gonna do, terminate the loan?
  8. Looks a tidy signing, this. Appreciate OOC in the Summer but get it done and confirmed now, no potential hijack to worry about.
  9. For sure, we saw it with Preston's overperformance earlier in the season and where they are now. I think the biggest issue in our results and performances not aligning well of late is getting into good positions but not making good chances (well trodden ground here I realise). And then last night, we click and look more dangerous and are let down by our defence (Max having a rare poor 90). It's just not seeming to happen for us is it, which is why I find posts saying we shouldn't be unhappy a bit annoying. I didn't think we were going to get hammered yesterday as OP called consensus. I knew it was a tough match but we're a good team with a good manager and good players who can beat any team in this league with fair wind. Great that we gave Cov such a tough night, but we haven't won a league match since Boxing Day. It's totally fair to be a bit peeved I reckon.
  10. Think PSR's original post may be born out of the 'results vs performance' split of people. I know performance is a better indicator of where you're going, but I've always been a result first guy. If we play like prime Ajax and lose I'm gutted. Play like Chippenham Town and win and I'm over the moon. Short-sighted maybe, but next season will be our 10th consecutive at this level. Patience begins to wear thin! Since Boxing Day, I've said 'we played well, we were unlucky not to win' far too much. Maybe we're not making our own luck? Performances are mostly good, 1 win in 8 and 13th in the table is bound to lead to some disappointed fans though.

I agree with this, though know it's an unpopular opinion. It's nice having local lads in the team but if there are better players about... also worth noting, our local lads are often more than happy to leave when the money comes! Praying Pring never falls into that category. We need him.

Think he's worth playing in the deeper midfield 2. With Conway now a candidate to play in one of the 'behind the striker' roles especially. However until Twine or Sykes are fit I think he may well continue in the higher up. I agree it doesn't seem to be his best position, not enough output to be a forward.

Good Championship keeper that had a stinker.
  14. Still think Manning is a good pick up. But his having a worse record than Nige after equal games (this season) does make Jon look a plonker. I’ll always wonder what this season may have been under Nige. And I’ll always blame the Lansdown’s for my never knowing.
  15. Conway does play 10, I’m sure I’ve heard that. He could be one of the split 10’s with Nahki as the 9. No harm in giving it a few games, there were signs of link-up tonight in the minimal minutes they shared. For Leeds, maybe a 3-4-3 of: Max: Tanner, Vyner, Dickie: McCrorie, Williams, Knight, Pring: Conway, Wells, Mehmeti. Assuming all the injured lot still are come Friday. Naismith in for Tanner and Twine in for Anis when all fit. Could be nice.
  16. In isolation it is. But bad results against bottom 8 teams mean we need wins against top 8 teams. It is what it is. Hopefully the FA Cup has some more thrills in store for us, then on to the Euros!
  17. Yeah I think giving up on them is a happier life so people do it. So bloody sick of this League man
  18. I’m so envious of the people that can already take the positives - I’m honestly bereft of positive emotion after that equaliser. Our season is over isn’t it playoffs feel about as likely as winning the FA Cup at this point.
  19. One win in eight matches as City’s season fizzles toward a premature end. Injured: Atkinson Naismith Benarous Twine Sykes
  20. Gutted - as I’m often left feeling by City lately. Torrid hobby, this.
  21. If we had bought him he’d be a long term asset, not a short term play to make the play-offs. We’ll see if he can do it but he’ll struggle for the next few weeks!
