I can’t speak for Norn Iron but their justification of support for O’Neills has been sound from what I’ve read previously.

O’Neills GAA range is of fine quality, no better or worse than any other sports wear. Granted the initial kits they produced for us seem to have been a bit rushed on quality control, but the revised 3rd kit looks to have sorted that.

This entire thread has reeked of kit fashion snobbery imo.

Yes I think it is down to “kit fashion snobbery”…. We deserve so much better. Compare ourselves to our peers in the championship… anyone carrying an O’Neills logo… actually anyone in the other 92 clubs with this logo? Just so disappointed… as an earlier poster pointed out, worst kit I’ve seen … both home & 3rd. Oh well, we’ll see how successful the sales are for it.

I mean to be fair, we did even have a retro nod to the Danish '92 keepers kit. So we do shop around for our nostalgia.

I am done with this nostalgia/ retro come back… junior lansdown may think it’s the rage… but he’s hardly the style icon design agency exec he thinks he is… just get rid. And bin off O’Neills now.

I don't want purple and lime despite it being by far my favourite option, mainly because I can't stand O'Neills and would rather see a people and lime kit when they're gone.

I'm still irritated that we've had some of our best kits to date under Hummel and got rid of them for a piss poor company who seem to think feathers on a goalkeepers kit is clever or good design.

Mate, it’s not oneills design it’s lansdown junior…. 100%of the blame goes to him on design.. oh… let’s give the fans retro again and again and again… he’s unqualified, bored and with nothing to do other than piss about with his own media company and 2nd rate yes men creatives… get rid.

  4. FairPlay. The club have pulled a master stroke with this kit…they have to be commended  - no more supply / stock issues in the shop/on line …. As the kit is so bad that it always going to be available. I feel sorry for the larger people… the fitting of the kit does them no favours… get rid. Align ourselves with  the rugby and get Umbro in,  get Jon lansdown and his crayons no where near it…

  5. Alright Jon, we know you have to fill your time doing stuff at the club (anyone give him a job outside of Bristol city please?)… but stop recreating city shirts from yesteryear… it’s been done to death…. Thankfully there’s a market for vintage original gear. Leave it to the professionals -ie Hummel, Umbro, adidas etc (template or no template) it’ll look a 1000% better than the O’Neill shite

  6. After yesterday’s match where the time on the scoreboard didn’t appear for a while and later downsys weekly gaff of the wrongly named substitution… Andy Cornick ?? … got me thinking… can we just update / revise our scoreboard format to show the lineups throughout the game including the substitutions rather than the bland format it is now… offers nothing… and as for the visual footage… don’t get me started… extended highlights would be nice

  7. Only one stadium for me…. São Paulo stadium (Diego maradona) stadium, Napoli  …we got tickets easily outside the stadium from touts… expect to pay about 30 euro each for a ticket on the lower tribune…however they are storming their league This year and doing well on the champions league so tickets may be harder to come by … reasonably cheap flights from Bristol and the pizzas…..man o man

Is it easy to get tickets for Italian games?

Yes, but get them on their official website… I’ve done both official channels and touts at the ground… one time I rocked up and all the tickets were sold, no availability

  9. Not as amateur as Weimanns shirt being ripped due to the material being so crap… scotty replaced it with a plain shirt with no number and name on the back…. The shirts really do look so cheap… the logos on the shirt look like the sort of print you get from a Turkish market selling bad replica football shirts…

It’s ok, bit bland with nothing design-wise to get excited about. Seems a bit of ‘we need to get something out quick, let’s look through our past catalogue’.

Pity we’re moving from an established ‘premier’ brand…but if they can’t supply enough shirts for the first team, let alone supporters we’re left with little choice it seems.

Like the O’Neill video which has allayed some concerns about origin and likely quality. Are they same as the established and decent’ish surf gear manufacturer? Seems a different logo.

No, they’re not the same company as the surf co - that company, as you rightly say has some kudos attached to it… no, the O’Neills we have is a Gaelic football brand who sponsor such football giants as Wycombe wanderers, Weymouth town and a number of park football teams…

  11. It is truly is an abhorration …. so cheap looking… league 2 standard at best.

Can’t see our younger fans snapping these shirts up… I mean them being brand conscious…

Even the gas have a more credible shirt manufacturer…

just soo badly advised… who signed this off at the club? Bermuda Jon?
