  1. Only Southgate could fail at the Euros with this squad. For god sake, take the brakes off man and grow some balls. I think he never got over that penalty miss
  2. Why don't we play exciting front foot football to increase attendances. Just a thought
  3. Our trendy set have moved to Rugger where they can take their beer to their seat compare tweed caps and Barbour jackets with your mate and feel that you are just a bit better than those football people.
  4. I think many people only renew because they enjoy the twice per month meet up up with mates, a couple of beers and a pie. I wonder if a large pub chain was able to show all home games with a yearly pass costing say £150 how many season ticket holders would take that option.
  5. Not on his current form unless with the coaching from LM he can do a job in defence
  6. Can you imagine the job advertisement Wanted Championship Level Head Coach No experience or track record needed Must be prepared to work with almost no budget and to sell any player that can attract a fee over £3 million. Must never disagree with the Director or Sport or the owners son and must take 100% of the flack when things go wrong. Must be prepared to accept that what ever squad you get is "play off ready" and must not ask for a decent striker because Arsenal manage without one. Must be a master of bulls**t and deflection and must accept that after failing at BCFC you will probably only get a job in League 1 or 2 or Scotland. This should not be a concern because you are probably best at that level anyway. Must be able to talk about promotion whilst keeping a straight face and most importantly must not give a s**t what the fans think.
  7. The only things that will prompt a change are Very low gates for remaining games with those that do attend showing their dissatisfaction. A close brush with relegation Very low season ticket sales Players asking to leave. Our board are very happy to survive in the Championship and try to get as close to break even as possible. Nothing good can happen until SL understands that nobody wants to buy his Bristol Sport business and he breaks it up into saleable entities.
  8. No decent manager will work under the current set up.
  9. Wish he would give the same message to LM
  10. We could sign Harry Kane and LM would turn off the goals but make him a better defender like Conway
  11. I am fully aware that some teams attack and some sit back and defend and this impacts our success HOWEVER, what I cannot understand is when we have a home local derby our players showed no energy, drive, passion, and generally looked like they would rather be anywhere else. Fast forward the make the long trip to Ipswich where we have a modest away following and transformed into an aggressive, together, hungry and motivated group. Tackles were flying in and the speed of passing and movement off the ball was great. So next we have Swansea at home and I have absolutely no feeling about which team will turn up.
  12. Don't agree, when Wes was skinning Cam changes were needed and they didn't come
  13. How can we play like that last night considering the Cardiff performance. Forget how Cardiff or Ipswich play, the huge contrast was intensity, speed of passing, closing down and general effort. It is impossible to understand how the level of performance last night cannot be brought out consistently
  14. Says it all when Tommy says he is not worried about scoring less goals than last year because he has become a better defender.
  15. Its all about credibility, relegation at MK Dons, and a short spell in L1 with Oxford plus no playing career and it appears just about zero charisma why would he have any credibility particularly to players like James and King
  16. Same for Whitehead Brolly and Skirton
  17. What has happened to wingers in the Prem and Championship. They get the ball and if the fullback is within 10 yards they play inside or backwards. A good winger, if he is not tackled before getting the ball under control should be able to take on and beat his man 40% of the time when he only has 1 marker. Even if he gets a throw further up the pitch it's OK. A lot of the excitement used to come from these unpredictable tricksters. It seems now that is totally coached out of them and unless they get the ball with 25 yards of space in front of them they play it safe. The best way to disrupt a well organised defence is to beat 1 player and run at the defence. One thing of beauty was to watch Alex Scott receive the ball under pressure and simple breeze past his marker. How many free kicks did we get and chances came about due to the chaos it caused. I just find our style of play so b***dy boring.
  18. Liam saw it on match of the day so he had to adopt it.
  19. Can we clone him and give the clone the number 9 shirt
  20. For me you can always tell when the team is not up for it. When Dickie gets the ball if he is regularly passing forward into midfield we are on it because we have movement and options. When he is hitting it long or passing to Zak we are hiding. The big question is how do we get a consistent level of movement and players wanting the ball.
  21. If he needs help he isn't good enough. Sack him and get someone who doesn't need help He strikes me as a nice bloke that read all books and has all the badges. What he doesn't have is credibility and the players know it. He seems to be a 1 trick pony and the pony is lame.
  22. Love to see a few of these heroes in a ring where they cant kick and run away. Pathetic
