No, I was referring to the OP.

Was he quoting Leroy?  Because I’d never diss Sir Leroy.  Had one of the loveliest chats with Sir Leroy in that West Ham cup game, in 14/15.  Lovely bloke.

It was Toby that made the statement not Leroy, the reason it stood out to me was because he said "Vyner is 26, or maybe 27". And I just thought it sounded amateur.

I don't know if it's just me, but Toby Osborne is absolutely terrible as a commentator, really don't know how he's got that gig, it almost distracts from the game. Chris Honor is even worse when he's on.

Really refreshing having Leroy on tonight and actually talking about the game as it was happening, instead of Toby's predictable input of "I'm sure we'll see a sub soon, Mehmeti and Harry Cornick are on the bench"

Purchased tickets for Kings of Leon, but not yet arrived by email. Anyone else had this?

My confirmation email from AXS had gone into my junk folder, may be worth checking there, if not already

I am around at my father in law's setting up his laptop for him. Knowing that he is a Gashead I thought I would set up their official site for him.

I noticed that on top of the airbrushing of Jamie MacAllister, they also seem to have selective match reporting, you wouldn't even know they played Fleetwood last night, let alone the ignominious defeat.

Out of curiosity I checked this out myself as thought it cant be true. Literally amazed there is no mention, I then tried to find the match report and struggled to find it for a while 🤣 Wow!

Piercy says we are still keen on a first team attacking signing by end of month, the word ‘attacking’ means the new ITK Ian may be right when he said it wasn’t a striker. So which attacking players are OOC in the summer? I just get the feeling based on the praise he gives online to a former player it may be true…..but then again!

I may be wrong, but would confidently say Ian Gay is not getting any info from BT

...directly atleast, just started reading the senior reds thread 👍🏻

None of our games have VAR. In fact, the only game we have ever played with VAR was the reverse fixture.

Think someone mentioned recently this is incorrect. Sheffield United away in the FA Cup had VAR a few years ago

Yea I looked too and certainly don't believe that figure to be true. Was provably earning that at MK. 10-15k easily at Burnley and then would have very likely of had a promotion wage rise written into his Burnley contract.

Ah yeah, didn't think of any promotion contract rises/clauses/bonuses 👍🏻

Being pedantic, whilst 2.5 million is good buisness if true, his wages aren't going to be cheap!

Purely just having a quick look on Google, so certainly not fact. But a few sites have his current Burnley deal to be somewhere between £3.5k - £4.6k p/w.

Of course he would be on a better deal here, but I kind of assumed he would have been on more than that there.

“than any football game” - are you sure of that? Credible, independent sources say that 4.7 BILLION people watch English premier league games each season on tv - surely more than the 4 million who watched the darts?

I think it was something like Sky's highest viewing figures for an event 'other than football'

Can’t see anywhere where a football team could sit together unless I’m missing something though? Unless you look directly to the right of you on the Williams?
For context I sit with 14 people I am mates with and their kids (3 kids).   Out of that 14, 6 were not there Saturday due to parties (both adult and kids) and child care. Not sure if our crew were just adversely affected but seemed quieter all around Saturday.  All anecdotal of course! Anyway let’s not derail it anymore. It’ll never be able to be proven or otherwise.

I had a season ticket in S22 (right behind the goal) for about 5 years before moving to the Dolman start of last season.

I was in row 5, over that 5 years, at a guess I'd say 90% of games there was 8 seats next to me empty, and atleast 10 seats in row 4 infront of me empty

They way some say ‘it worked for me’ makes me laugh. It can read like if it didn’t work for you you’re the problem.

I see there was problems with Android and quite a few update/.releases have been made to the ticket sales portions.

Hopefully it will all get sorted!

On Android also, mine didn't work. Was there an actual acknowledgment there was an issue with Android, or just feedback from us on here?

Laudable but there isn't a homogeneous "we oldies" group, of the older people I know the division between computer literate and non-literate is primarily related to attitude rather than intelligence.

A lot of people who grew up without it don't like tech generally and don't have smartphones let alone computers or tablets.

I thought tech, or more particularly system software, a real boon at work but I don't want anything bar the bare minimum outside of work though am semi-retired these days in my fifties.

I almost always pay cash, have never used contactless or paid by phone, refuse to adopt anything I see as unnecessary like WhatsApp and only started online banking because my local branch had closed and I wanted to change a standing order without having a long journey to do it.

As with council car parks now requiring an App to pay, meaning that I will not now use them, the old adage of "the customer is always right" seems to have gone by the by, replaced by "the customer will do what they are told".

    And then you lose customers.

Bit irrelevant now, but you do realise before your branch closed and when you still went in there in person. All they did was login to the online system and do exactly the same as you do now yourself. If anything you were wasting more time and effort going through an extra person. Hence so many branches closing when you can literally do it yourself without leaving home....like you are now! ...saving time and money also. Embrace things, it's not all that bad

I think we're probably watching the situation but after Ipswich getting involved and Stoke joining the chase I wonder if we're potentially talking to other players. Also with Scott not yet getting a bid on him that matches valuation we may not need a midfielder in Pearson eyes, at least not one playing in the same situation. I guess it depends on Benarous, whether Mehmeti going to be given a chance in the middle, if Weimann is going to go back into that role behind the strikers etc. I'm not sure what Pearson has planned but he's obviously happy with the current squad as he's already made 3 good additions and hasn't yet lost anyone he didn't expect to.
