As I say I’m not an expert but wasn’t the original arena scheme binned because the Council effectively decided they didn’t want to pay for it? (That may not have been the official line of course but that’s what was suggested)

This stadium, ‘the Fruit Bowl’ or whatever cringy name they’ll call it, will be funded by outside investment. The Council would love that surely?

Im not sure what third party objectors there could be around there? Like I say I think the whole area is up for regeneration.

In terms of a commercial redevelopment then no problem but when you factor in large cash draining construction that doesn’t generate the returns that other industry’s would it seems odd.

That said theyre still staring at about 100 million to get in a fully built stadium with infrastructure.

That’s  whilst their loosing 3 million a year

Even if they sale the mem and don’t have to  give the owners the cash back

even if a consortium has bought the land and given them to them

even if the council have said crack on start tomorrow that’s exactly what we need

even if no one, not one person objects

even if an enormous engineering project built on an old industrial site next to a river will go swimmingly

they still need to find 40-50 million to build whilst loosing 5 million a year, and having to play at Weston

bear in mind a recent transfer fell through as 20k was too steep

I've heard that Sercombe is one of their better players (must be if any type of fee is being quoted). If that's the case surely by buying a striker they might solve one problem but will almost definitely create another?

Great stuff, carry on losers... ??

Their best outfield player by far, they will get peanuts for him and probably replace him with some dog turd non league player, their spiralling down fast

Actually he's not the only manager to get them relegated out of the football league. They finished bottom of the third division south in 1939 which meant they were effectively out of the league and had to be re-elected. Gasheads should be reminded that they have now joined the league three times!

The year hitler kept them up

Shame, he was doing a tremendous job there.

Big Sam, yeah alright. What about 'Arry? Fresh out of the jungle, I'm sure he's already driving up the M5 in his Range Rover, ready to swap one swamp for another!!!

They'll go for the cheapest option available to them - either one of Wallys family (maybe even fancies himself), or Marcus Stewart.

Please please please santa let Wael take the job on himself,

    if carlsbeeg did Christmas presents
