If I was a betting man, I'd bet that when the squatters originally agreed their awesome new stand upgrades with the council and the sag, they agreed to apply for planning permission within 28 days of the original installation date. However, when installation was delayed due to the Tipplewell Primary School sports day still using the stands, the original date slipped and no one remembered to update the agreement. Therefore, the 28 days countdown had already started even though the structures were not up. So, when they do get the things up and open they now definitely need planning permission as they no longer qualify as temporary.
Just a guess though.
Please let this be true, I’d wet myself laughing if they had to come down

If they have to come down, do they have to stretch the canvas over two Ford Focus,s before getting everyone around to frantically dry it and fold it in to a match box sized case ?

Truly nasty....
This is actually so funny it’s not funny anymore but embarrassing
duscussing football with a work colleague in the US, asked where we were, top 6, could be playing Liverpool next year he said, meanwhile someone thinks the above is a worthwile positive news story, what is it 20 ft long and there’s still posts in the way

I heard that they only “opened” three stands and one stand was closed, surely the correct terminology for opening a tent is to un zip ?

I'm not so sure a league 1 player is too concerned about training grounds and facilities etc. Under Francis we trained on some pitches at Fry's which were used for local football teams. The chance to play in front of 10000 fans must surely be what persuades them, along with the wages.
Another tough game against Coventry next weekend. They beat Barnsley today. Struggling to see where the next win is coming from if I'm honest.
To be fair the gas should be charging me 60 quid
Is that the going price for a top end comedian

I ask my son name a city player, he always shouts the
always makes me laugh

They’ve ground out results the last few years with pub signings, it’s come back to haunt them now any quality they did have has gone. They need 2 centre backs, 2 in the middle and at least 1 up top, whatever clown is looking to buy them better factor how much that’s going to cost to stay up. Plus the signings don’t always work out so buying 5 might not be enough
tough times, long may it continue

The source I had in the uwe used to say about if people knew how much money the uwe had stashed away there would be a public outcry
Was it last year Bristol uni was bemoaning lack of funds and found a property on their portfolio valued at 5 million , didn’t notice they had it. Amongst their vast portfolio

After going for a run around the so said stadium site last evening I cannot believe nothing is built there yet.theres no way the gas could afford it so Iam guessing there getting in bed with the uwe on the uwe terms
I think your right, but who will pay for the build, university’s are always pleading poverty but do seem to have endless pots of liquid cash

that speed camera at the bottom of Saltford Hill would be clicking like a paparazzi photographer
And all those home owners in those nice houses are going to sit back and let the swamp dwellers drop their chip wrappers in their front gardens, Me thinks they may well create hell to stop the horse punching zombie hordes building within 40 miles of their property

"Bristol council. Are sending out letters asking people .What they think of Bristol life might be a good way of insisting the council ask whoever is developing the arena at filton to incorporate a stadium for us ?"
I might comment saying I want to walk my dog on it, ina village green kind of way

You are correct. This happens time and time again unfortunately.
The big problem I have with this is that - and please correct me if I'm wrong - The Memorial Ground, is in fact that. A memorial ground to those rugby players that lost their lives serving our country. And therefore should be kept as such as a 'memorial' to those that fell. If not for rugby purposes specifically but sport generally.
Considering that the gasholes robbed the ground from Bristol Rugby I would assume that if there were any morals left at all, that any sale of the land/ground would be like for like to retain and perpetuate the principals of its creation.
Or maybe that's just too old fashioned thinking and money is the new power.
If city tried building on a war memorial there would be quiet rightly uproar, but the gas fund this acceptable

Great point today for the gas, I mean they’ve only been a league club for3 years and they are now taking points off established league clubs like Plymouth, also in those 3 magnificent years they have a new bar, a set of sprinklers which granted have a mind of their own, oh and a potential new tent, things are certainly looking up
