  1. Interesting. Fee was reported as £1.25m, had a medical then failed to agree personal terms at the last min apparently.
  2. Live stream on RTV is working. I have a season pass from last season and haven't yet puechased a pass for this one yet. Is it working for anyone else with/without a season pass?
  3. Looks like a section from the TV show Kick Start...if anyone remembers that.
  4. We're only asking for about another 10% on what Wolves have offered, I think they'll come back with a deal worth £25m. Could that trigger another club who have yet to show their hand? I think it might and Wolves plus one other will be his choices. Don't see an out amd out bidding war between multiple clubs taking it over £25m, would love that though!
  5. Everything we see and hear from outside indicates he's a model pro. Another thing in our favour.
  6. Barton is ok because he is not a Nazi...brilliant bit of the old gaslogic there.
  7. Shame. I used to work at the BBC some years ago and always found her to be one of the nicest people there. Geoff also a nice guy, always had time for a quick chat about City in passing. He told me we were signing Brian Wilson a couple days before it was announced. My only ITK moment!
  8. He's sure to be in the next Eng u21 cycle. Is that a consideration at all?
  9. Been there but my shorts were longer!
  10. Really nice reading the memories of those who were around in his playing days. Says it all. More to come I'm sure.
  11. Whenever you reach a crossroads or dilemma in your life, ask yourself...what would Nige do?
  12. Same here mate. Every part a fabric of the club we now support. Respect is certainly due.
  13. They obviously have no idea what's been happening at the club the last 5 or 6 years. NP has spent the last 18 months tearing down an overpriced, not fit for purpose football club and laying some solid foundations. He could leave tomorrow and he's still done a good job.
  14. Sad news. Along with Gow and Atyeo, he was one of my Dad's favourite players of all time. RIP
  15. The thought of him going to Bournemouth is of course a little uninspiring but if they stump up the cash where other clubs haven't, then fair play to them. They'll have made a fantastic signing and a sound investment ahead of bigger clubs. If he wants to play Prem football most weeks, it's a good move. Given his very young age, a year or two there would do his career no harm and would be a a decent stepping stone for his next move.
  16. If they'd been financially sound and sustained Championship football they might not of had to sell or could of demanded more. Must be painful selling to such a small club as ourselves.
  17. Another entry on Barton's CV. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/joey-barton-stadium-ban-bristol-8583815
  18. Fully expecting some sort of national coverage then over to the broadcast at 2.30pm for round the regional grounds, manager interviews etc before local commentary.

Would of been a big scalp in context. He gave it his best. He's a dogged kind of player. Age and mileage not on his side these days.
  20. What's that line from Star Wars...You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. Mos Eisley Stadium.
  21. Gutted for him, so close and had to come from further back than he would of liked.
