  1. Definitely been a steady hand at the wheel when it was badly needed. Would certainly feel like a loss right now should he go. Probably a tempting role and if cricket is more his forte, you couldn't blame him for accepting an offer if it comes along.
  2. Surely he can't keep going at this rate. If he played around 50 games in all comps this season he could be on for 100 goals! He's certainly going to break some records this season that's for sure.
  3. Agree, particularly of late, we've put scores in.. Jay gets into good positions but end product is often below average. Skykes doesn't often set to hit an earlier cross and seems to favour pushing into the box. Pring, from the mists of my memory has a decent whipped cross on him from both the byline and early. Not sure Jay deserves to be dropped on his overall play though.
  4. I watched the 2nd half, he played the full 90. Had 2 chances, one he hit straight at the keeper from 6 yards out from a driven cross, the other on the end of a deep cross on the angle which the defender blocked, very difficult chance. Most of the service to him was in the air, long, straight down the middle or an over hit ball into the channel. When they did get in the final 3rd, they had a tendency to over play instead of sticking a cross in. Certainly didn't play to his strengths but he's new to the group. He'd probably look better in 20 mins for the senior team with more experienced players around him.
  5. From the BBC match report... Bristol Rovers' winless run stretched to eight games in all competitions as Accrington earned victory at the Memorial Stadium. Joe Pritchard headed home a near-post corner from a Sean McConville delivery after quick thinking from the Rover's ball boy on 54 minutes to secure the visitors a second away win of the season in League One.
  6. Having watched most of that it's clear where Rover's problems lie...nearly all the players are not good enough for L1. They've got big problems and only 10 games in.
  7. Burnley manager Vincent Kompany told BBC Radio Lancashire: "It's ideal to go into the international break off [a win]. It was a good win and a good performance against a very tough opponent. We've watched a lot of Bristol City games; they press high, they have a lot of the ball and a lot of threat going forward, and for us to cancel some of that out was really not easy.
  8. I have it on good authority (JB RB post match) that at least 1-2 supporters left when they went 1-6 ? Bless em.
  9. Have i got time to watch all 6 Lincoln goals? Yes, yes i have ?
  10. Disappointing week but not disappointed. Keep the performances 7/10+ all round, ease off the soft goals and we'll have a good season.
  11. Punished for 2 stupid mistakes but been the better side. Great to see another for TC, keeping us in the game for the 2nd half.
  12. As a point score, i agree. What's your reputation on here? Meaningless?
  13. The reputation to posts ratio is not good. Ergo, you are a below average poster. Make of that what you will.
  14. I do think they've missed the mood here. I'm ok either way but football is well accustomed to paying respect as many sports are. I think a majority of football fans would of welcomed the opportunity. Wednesday, or the following Saturday it won't feel quite the same, but without a doubt, the utmost respect will be shown.
  15. * doesn't account for ? reactions! Those were the days ?
  16. Pete, your efforts on this thread deserve a medal. Your posts even antagonise them on thier forum. One of them called you O Hanrawank once, it did make me laugh. Keep up the good fight.
  17. Was my thinking also. Perhaps in part why Chelsea have made a move now. I think he could get them playing some good stuff. He'd maybe make a better next, next England manager.
  18. I think that was his best performance for us this season.
  19. The Benjamin Button of our defence.
