However bad City get, I have always consoled myself with the fact that being blue is much worse, except for a couple of seasons when they were actually better than us. But I can't remember that happening much in over 50 years of supporting City.
Back in 1980/81 we were abject, awful, terrible and ended up getting relegated from Division 2 with more points than goals scored (2 points for a win then). I remember my sister reckoned it was a good season because we finished second bottom and the sags were bottom.

No, no! We do not want them to die, just continue in their current, or an even worse vein. Think of all the bad times in your life; then you'ld look across to Eastville / Twerton / the Mem and see what the team are doing or the fans saying and "things could be worse for me".
I still think it's all part of a master plan to get Bath City into the league once the sags relocate to Trumpton again and then go out of business. Could unravel if the few get relegated twice first

Here's what will happen..
SL builds and pays for the UWE and leases it to BCFC Women. Dwane Sports sell The Mem to SL, repays their own loans, pocket the rest and say goodbye.' SL moves the Rugby club back to their righful home and the pikeys **** off and die.
It's moved on, we're moving to a 40,000 stadium at UWE along with Bris.
Suppose the deluded ones think they'll then buy AG for £35 (if they can get a loan)

Did Alison Mitchell refer to a hand job on TMS in the first over after lunch today (Friday)?

Paranoid about us and UWE . But perfectly happy with wally and hamer. Idiots. Uwe should build a multi purpose stadium or have the Bristol arena there. Rovers will be at Chernobyl for weeks to come.
Sorry, have to disagree on one major point you make mate.

Rovers have been allocated the whole stadium for their visit to Bury.
So as to embrace the local customs, respectful bunch that they are, around 99% of them will wear Bury replica shirts and/or partake in popular Bury related chants during the game.
It's definitely true, just watch the highlights on TV and you'll see them.
Disclaimer: In the event of any trouble, there will have been a proportion of 'Teds who infiltrated the crowd. It's never them, ever!
Slight typo, they won't have 30% of the crowd (crowed?)

"Bit of a shame to once again be posting about bad news,
Some of the veterans kit from Sunday which was lent to me by Rovers has gone "missing" it was all counted up and put in the kit bag by myself and Phil Bater and all was present, only upon returning it to Rovers today it's become apparent that we are missing no fewer than 7 shirts and 12 pairs of shorts, it would appear someone has been in the dressing room and took it.
Mangotsfield have CCTV that they will be checking tonight so it's likely the culprit will be found, it's quite simple really if you have taken this kit return it before you are caught and we will say no more about it.
Also if anyone seen anything or knows who has decided to take something from a charity day please get in touch.
Share away please so as many as possible see."
Ashley Belsten,
FacebookI hope we have featured this so that we can help to recover the items and not to laugh at the sags.

They'd have to do a Bournemouth and rotate 90 degrees
The only option on that site if they had any money and the site wasn't inevitably going to be repossessed and sold for housing.
Build the biggest stand they can get away with in the car park behind the newish stand. Then knock that one down and rotate 90 degrees. They'd have a new stand at one end and a crappy but useable one at the other while they redeveloped the two new sides, then finally redevelop the end opposite the new stand.
What could possibly go wrong? They couldn't demolish a stand and re-lay a pitch in the close season so some ground sharing would be inevitable - but who'd have them?
Bournemouth went to Dorchester (nice ground) if memory serves.
Bris missed a trick by not rotating the pitch when they demolished the old cowshed. The training pitches were still there then and the clubhouse terrace could easily have been extended along the whole side.

I've been to Shrewsbury, the new ground lacks the 'character' of the old one but it's pretty good for what they aspire to.

The gas forum debate on racism at the Mem has been closed to new replies....
Why? I hear you cry!
Replies were starting to get racist.
I just read it. I have to hope that my memory decays selectively so that I forget it. Frankly alarming and disturbing in equal measure.

The amount of bullshit in that statement though
'Some of the best fans in the country'
'Family Club'
'99.9% are brilliant supporters'
Never known a club like it. Belters from top to bottom.
Take that at face value. That would mean they had 9 or 10 individuals ot the ground on Saturday who think it's OK to dole out distasteful abuse. Should be quite easy to find, ban and hand over to the authorities then............

Moron FC are like a festering boil on the prostitute Irene's bottom. When you play away games, Bristol has a collective sigh of relief, its got rid of the 83 village idiots who infest other grounds in your colours for the day.
You are the most irrelevant team in world football. You dont have to like it, but there it is.
You have not earned to right to play us. During this time however, you have mercilessly provided us with a consistently high level of ammunition to throw back in your faces.
It wouldn't be right as opposed fan base not to laugh at the following:
Pipe Dream Arena
Relegation out of the football league
Getting beaten by Cheese and Ham FC
Getting beaten by a team that might take you over Bath FC... twice
Stadium upgrades: Curtains/paint/carpets (Not sure they are new carpets...but old ones cleaned)
Buy your 10m rated player for 300K
Your hopeless estimation of fans attending games
Equine boxing
Boob Cricket
New Sprinklers
A fence around your new training facilty
Santas Grotto
Hence the length of the thread. You are truly the gift that keeps on giving. On the rare occasion I have a bad day, I thank the lord I am not a g**Nobhead. That always always cheers me.
Thanks and of course keep them coming.
Stevo
Sorry, you made a typo, but I am sure the village idiots will use it as 'evidence' of taking 30,000 to every away game.

Sorry pal, you could not be more wrong. I look at / post on this thread because I know that wherever I am in the world I am guaranteed comedy incompetence and delusion by your club and its followers interspersed with (usually) wry and insightful comment from us.

Stoke v Port Vale is an apt analogy - Burslem is one of the most backward places I've been to !
I believe we are heading more towards something like Bradford City v Bradford Park Avenue in the medium term. Longer term, the shape of football will change anyway, though I'm sure the footballs will remain spherical.

Yes they did get half the value when it was set up. Unfortunately, they owned all of it before that deal was set up. They effectively sold half, on the major shareholders instructions, then repaid the major shareholder the £2m they owed him. What money the rugby club actually received did very little to alleviate their problems and their major shareholder and then Chairman, Arthur Holmes, filed for bankruptcy, five months after the deal was struck, barely time for the ink to dry.
Fair enough, sold half the ground, got some cash which they used to pay some debts to a major shareholder, not enough so went bust and lost the other half.
Nothing like that will happen again in Bristol will it?

They also went bust in that year but the outbreak of WW2 and the cancellation of the football league saved them .
Weren't they bottom of the league when war was declared?
