  1. Also- and I know insomnia shouldn't mean going on here posting. What's with this players coming to the office asking to look at clips. Are they withheld until requested?
  2. Just listened to the pre match press interview, following on from Tinnion earlier this week and the Southampton references are really winding me up now. I understand we won at home vs a side on a good run but one swallow a summer doth not make. By all means describe what you're trying to do to get the best out of the players but stop banging on about this one game. Let's be honest it wasn't even that great - we are now a team who wants to dominate the ball and had 32% of it. And I swear tinnion said it was 3-0 as well on the radio. I'm yet to be convinced by manning, but I'd happily change that if I see a more effective team and pattern in games, it might not be until next season with some additions to the squad but honestly stop talking about the Southampton game please!
  3. I am guessing he is alluding to them having a full write up in the morning edition. I admit, not bought a paper for years but early editions of the post never used to have a write up. That said it may be nothing to do with this and be as baffling as first appearance.
  4. Feels a bit like formation is being used as an excuse. One can drop deeper, they can be fluid, one can drift wide to create space... etc. Formations are overrated. Players don't stand in their tactics board positions all game no?
  5. Andi has been a top pro for City. As others say he probably has had his best days, but still does a decent job and I imagine works well with teammates who clearly respect him (voted as captain after all). He is fine, and as long as he isn't expected to keep up energy and play full 90s twice pw adds value. In terms of the podcasts, I find them all interesting and a totally varied mix. I have my own views on positive and negative of each but that is well exceeded by my view of thanks to those who take time to run them every week. Takes a real commitment that so well done, they make a difference to my week and I always look forward to them!
  6. Hiya, someone in W9 row 21 dropped a wallet I found at the end. Handed to stewards, hope they reunite you!
  7. I'm on the fence this season. Was optimistic but when I was at the opening game it was clear that we had more depth, but had ultimately swapped Scott for Knight and Kalas for Dickie and that was about it from last season. If someone asked me if I'd like to swap back I'd definitely take it. I conclude that I see what Nigel has brought in terms of stability through FFP post covid but can't say I'm overly impressed with progression in terms of performances yet.
  8. Where would your friend get one? I just need to know which shops to avoid?
  9. Speaking of which, a friend, who I believe lives overseas was looking for a cost effective way of being able to watch all sorts of football matches live. Someone told him about a firestick... he has no idea but would like one this year. Any ideas how he might go about it?
  10. Quite excited about todays game. Feels like ages and the new season seems filled with optimism. Lots of questions that if the answer is yes, we can have a really positive season at the right end of the table. Can Conway push on and become our talisman striker? Can we maintain a high press and energy more consistently? Can we eradicate errors at the back? Can Mehmeti bring more consistent end product? Not sure why I don't feel like Alex Scott will be still here end of the month. Feels a little like going to a take that concert with no Robbie. One thing is for sure, gonna be an interesting journey. Strap in and enjoy the ride!

  17. So once on, you can choose a country, then I guess you just need to find a stream from that country. I see that most countries you can only go to if you subscribe
  18. A friend of mine was asking about VPNs. He was wondering how easy they are to use, how much and which one is good to buy, if you can stream premier league matches and pay for 3pm Saturday bristol city kick offs for matches he can't attend... anyone give a quick summary?
  19. What a superb night glued to the radio. I salute the 1000 who made the freezing cold trip and safe journey home with a rewarding victory. Congrats Sam Bell and the rest of the team!
  20. In a round about way, you're saying the same things. There are a lot of us disappointed with performances this season, we all understand that there are contributory factors, particularly financially, but where are we really at ad a club. Taking factors into account, are we performing at the level we should be (e.g. just above drop zone) some would argue we should still be better given we have talent in our squad e.g. potent strike force that "Wayne Rooney thinks is as good as any" or whatever. It does add to the frustration when we see players left out who seem to be our better players e.g. wells, semenyo, pring, Atkinson, Wilson only to be replaced with senior pros out of position. I also think that even if we are at the right place in the division then we are still entitled to be frustrated, albeit NP wouldn't be the one to vent at... either the owners in terms of decision making or covid for the crash of the transfer market. Whether the model of buy young promising talent and sell big would have worked is something we might never know. What is clear though is that we all want our team and club to be successful, we are probably all frustrated that we are hamstrung and want to see us improve. I'm not sure how rapid this improvement can be, realistically but do feel that we would accept more consistency in performance and decisions that we were more likely to understand.
