Getting it out of Max's gloves before the opposition reset is an issue too.

Agreed that it’s slow, but sometimes it’s the right thing to do when teams are attacking and you want to calm things down, last few minutes prime example tonight.

It’s when we break forward  and no one to pass too/sometimes pass is on and the ball is taken backwards and momentum is lost and opposition recover. The tempo is so slow in the final third. I like the style of football we are playing but against Huddersfield the space was there to run at them and put them under pressure. Second half we just didn’t do it effectively at all.
Be interesting again blackpool sat, who will be better counter attacking than Huddersfield, who could have won that game tonight at the end tonight

I have felt that he has been doing that for a while with some of his decisions and tactics. I know he isn’t here to be liked but he is highly unlikable.

S*ithouse tactics. Blaming everyone but himself. Playing people out of position is not his fault, it’s because he doesn’t trust said players in that position. Absolute zero accountability every bad performance. Shambles

  3. That was a hard watch tonight.

Semenyo missing that shot wide when clean through to get a goal back when 2-0 down and then blazing over early second half. After getting some goals he has gone back to having zero composure infront of goal again.

Even when 3-0 down the urgency of getting the ball forward was totally non existent, slow ball out the flanks giving Lincoln plenty of time to get their shape back and let’s be honest, defend pretty easily against us second half

Lose to Watford on sat and I think that might be it for Pearson.

  4. I seen 3 skirmishes between different groups about midday. Young lad got smacked in the nose on duckmoor road, trouble on the entrance next to the park opposite the shop and someone looked like they had taken a hiding by the entrance way to the dolman stand from Ashton way. Lots of police presence aswell

He’s a decent enough striker at this level when used properly. You can’t flog the bloke and play him twice a week

Exactly. Easy scapegoat when the goals aren’t going in.

Tanner is exactly the type of player Nige wants to us to have — young, hungry, potential for growth, versatile. Great signing, and I hope we make more signings like him (eg Prem schooled, released, desire, resale if we don’t match his growth etc).

Bang on. Atkinson is another example of this. Great signing.  Massengo coming on at a rate of knots. You would think with the balance we have of youth and experience brought in we would be lighting up the league……

  7. The writing was on the wall as soon as we came out after half time. Sitting so deep and letting forest pass at will. Luckily the forest attack was so shit it took for a calamitous challenge from baker to gift them the goal from the penalty . What followed was one of the most spineless moments I have ever seen following city.

Why on earth would you bring on O’Dowda for wells? The bloke just doesn’t want to know defensively, he played the last few minutes uninteresting in pressing/challenging forest for the ball.

Let’s hope we can work some magic on the road again, hope the manner of that defeat doesn’t knock the stuffing out the team.
