  1. Was just coming on to raise awareness around this today, so pleased to see clubs sharing awareness around it, and today of all days I'm having a tough one, not really sure why but hopefully it will pass soon. Hope everyone is doing ok
  2. Ah shit man sounds like a really rough time, I notice at the top you said you don't know why your writing this, well without realising you've done the best thing because you've got it off your chest, I had a visit to hospital a few years back, that was a pretty scary time I caught sepsis, that was the 1st time I'd ever worried about my health too. I think it's a perfectly reasonable reaction that you are worrying. Obviously I don't know fully what you're worrying about. Have you anyone you can really trust that you can speak too and just explain that you don't need advice or suggestions but you need to get it out, I find when I share problems or my thoughts people try to do that with me and it makes me not want to talk about it. The NHS is really shit atm clearly. And it's awful you've had that experience like that I was in weston general for a couple of nights ( I've moved back to Bristol now) and the staff were very nice, but that was just after covid, I can imagine things aren't good in there. Always here if you need a chat buddy
  3. Amazing what a positive result does. Just praying we turn the home form around
  4. Question around nige, he hates players running contracts down, yet his will come to an end this season, now he may not have been offered one, but with a manager being out of contract at the end of the season how can we plan for next season or even for january without knowing who the manager will be ? also around Zak vyner, also being out of contract will we be a position where nige does what he did with Bentley and massengo and drops vyner because of his contract situation? I actually don't think things are as bad as some people are making out, although 1 or 2 more injuries and we will be in big trouble. We win against Swansea and that's IF and its not been a terrible start for us really.
  5. I think we are but very slowly there certainly are players who have improved but there are some that haven't. The club has spent far to much and Pearson has had to pick up the pieces of that. It takes time but you don't get time these days sadly. One thing that you can't argue with is the players have always given 100% under Pearson....today that wasn't evident and that's what worries me. Its only 3 games I know and the window is still open but the way Pearson has been talking sounds to me like we won't be getting anyone in. If we don't I really fear for us.
  6. No didn't go to that one. I still believe in Pearson but that was worrying
  7. Probably the worst performance I've seen under Pearson, we offered nothing at all. The players looked diviod of confidence. Or any belief on what the plan was. Worrying times
  8. Only just seen this, what wonderful support, as someone who struggles mentally myself. It's great to see there are lots of people willing to help, mens mental health is not addressed enough imo, I'm active on twitter to raise awareness around it if ever anyone needs a chat please message I will always respond. Never suffer alone.
  9. My mum spoke to a few of the players, and they told her that they have been given tomorrow off, but they had to train again this afternoon so I'm guessing that's why it was a small window to fit everyone in as they said they must he done by 3pm ?
  10. My mum has taken my nephew and son down there she's sent some pics through. I have no idea who comes up with this plan. Seems chaotic.
  11. Terrible news, thoughts with family and friends R.I.P John
  12. Thanks, this is the collection there's no names on the books other than books on football. My mum just wanted them gone really but if someone would make use of them then, they are more than welcome or we can take them to a book shop.
  13. Hey everyone bit of a random one not sure if this is the right place to ask this. My grampy passed away recently and my mum and family have been going through some of the stuff he kept ( lots that he didn't ever need to keep ) they handed me some football memorabilia books there are 6 of them all varying with differnet things from fa cups history, club history things like that would anyone know where to go to get then valued or at least someone that collects those sort of things ? Any help would be appreciated.
  14. Lost another fellow red last night my grampy. Peter Stone he sat in the lansdown with his wife mavis and before that in the Williams stand, I have so many memories of going to football with him. He will be up there with more fellow reds who have passed away R.I.P Grampy.
  15. Hey everyone, just wanted to pass a bit of news on that we lost a fellow red this evening my grampy Peter Stone aged 92 , he had watched city for many years I'm not even sure for how long he was going for, before the new stadium was built we used to have to walk through the same gate behind the wedlock stand for good luck ( it never brought any luck ) haha, on his 80th birthday we bumped into Scotty Murray who came over and said hello and wished my grampy a happy birthday it made his day and we still have the photo of them together. One more memory for me which I will never forget was coming back from Wembley having lost to Hull, it fell on my grampys birthday and all the city fans sang happy birthday to him he was over the moon. I will miss him very much but I'm sure he will be looking Down on the gate and willing us to promotion r.i.p grampy Pete ?
  16. Glad you came through. It's scary how quick this can creep up on you. Mines a bit of a gross story to be honest it involved an abcess in a sensitive area. I'd been told many times it was nothing and would pass, well no it wasn't nothing it was an abcess that eventually burst, even when it burst they were sending me home until they took blood tests and found my blood was infected, I was amidiataly put onto an iv drip, was the worst experience of my life.
  17. Very brave to share her story I had sepsis a fee years back, luckily it was caught early for me and I got treated very quickly, but still a scary experience. Love and hugs to Brooke. X
  18. Me and the gf have been up t'north this weekend and we are just about to head to Manchester from Newcastle, so that should be fun.
  19. Was beginning to think I wouldn't be able to make tonight as my lad has had a bug the last few days, Thankfully he's feeling much better today, so now I am buzzing for the game just want to get down there already. C.O.Y.R.
  20. Really sorry Tone, life really is pushing you at the moment. As said above not much I can say other than stay strong. My best mate's girlfriend has just been diagnosed with cancer, it's treatable but it's been a real tough time on them over the last few weeks and waiting, which has also taken a toll on my mental health too with worrying about my mate, He's lost a brother and his mum before we were 15, I've just tried to be there for him and let him talk about it to get his thoughts out. Hopefully you have some people around you, who you feel comfortable talking too.
  21. Terrible pricing from city, but I do get they need to maximise what they can, its £64 for me and my boy to go, But for a one off game for my son to experience the atmosphere I experienced when we played man u and man City 5 years ago will be special.
  22. Your right he hasn't so he should be able to play again, But without doubt a complete knob for the way he spoke to the girl on that video, Hopefully this last year has been enough to teach him he needs to change.
  23. He will be back, charges been dropped so he's not done anything wrong in the eyes of the law, There's players out there that have done time and have come back out and played.
  24. Was just about to post the same thing, Defo outside the Lansdown stand in the dark must've been completed last night.
