Thank you for an excellent post. Interesting that the sell on clause in this case was a percentage of the transfer fee rather than a percentage of the profit.

After reading some comments on here who have sympathy for the gas , and that we are all football fans wanting the best for football in Bristol and the West Country.
I would like to make my position clear and unequivocal, I want them to go bust and out of business and Bristol Rovers never to return . I have no shrewd of empathy, sympathy or humanity for them.
This is an extremely hard nosed comment with not even a modicum of compassion for BRFC. It is however an opinion with which I am in total agreement.

How about Bismarck? Both holed below the waterline and no prospect of salvage? Resurgam means ‘rise again’ which won’t happen to our gaseous ‘friends’
-
One ‘minor’ difference is that we survived whilst their chances are pretty bleak. Can’t their owner wael the coup de gas?

Unlike the Mary Rose the Kursk remains in the murky depths.

Holloway ‘Rovers are a stationary boat’. Are you thinking of the Kursk Ian?

This hits the nails (and there are lots of them) on the head, @BS4 on Tour.... I was going to say that this post marks an end to this wonderful thread. But, as you say in your last paragraph, it is the gift that will never ever stop giving. Great stuff!
This thread shouldn’t end. Keeps me greatly amused through the ups and downs of life!

One of them had a serious head injury which killed half of his brain cells. Thankfully the other one’s fine

That's a strange way of spelling 'go out of business' Julie.
You will get zero people on here, Miah apart, agreeing with your point. The rest of us hope they lose every single game they play.
Preferably with increasing financial loss and reducing crowds

I thought Firkin Dimwit played for Anderlecht.
Thinking about compliments Firkin thinks he sprinkles them on his food

It's have, not of, you firkin dimwit. You would "have" locked me up and thrown away the key.
To be honest, if I had to put up with the likes of you and your uneducated comments, I'd have willingly been incarcerated.
Couldn’t agree more. Worrying the number of ill educated semi evolved cretins we have on this site. He probably thinks ‘firkin dimwit’ is a compliment!

Makes sod all difference though. I've worked for businesses owned by companies with massive market value, but it made no difference to my pay packet, and we had to achieve our margin like every other business they owned.
You could have 10 billion but if you don't want to spend it means jack sh**, and even if you do want to spend it FFP stops small clubs getting bigger and keeps the big boys in their cosy environment.
As for the Al Qadi's they fall into the first category. The runt of their litter has been given loose change and has run out of pocket money.Sure you meant ‘runt’?

Fair chance at their ground (Rovers not Nazis!) you'll be stood/sat especially as a newbie, behind more than a few planks too!
Why exclude Nazis? Judging by the casual racism on assshat could be some fascists in the stand as well.

Vile horrible bitter and twisted individual who hopefully has no idea of what ISIS stands for. If he does he is beneath contempt. Just hope the self proclaimed family club disappear asap and the likes of Mr Bennett can crawl back under their stones.

I was confused about that bit at the end, I wondered if he was referring to Milan who’s still here and would normally play that ‘role’ but maybe he meant Flint?
**** knows?
Either way, funny reaction to a mild bit of banter by LJ. I expect this particular specimen probably shat his pants in rage when Johnson made that quip after the Man Utd game suggesting that two thirds of Bristol support City.
This assumes that an amoebic gas supporter is capable of shitting himself whilst in a rage. Is that not too much to ask of ‘people’ who are unable to talk and walk at the same time? Suppose he could be in some brain cell sharing scheme with another fewer.
