  1. David haye said that he'd hit some of the blokes Wilder had fought as hard as he could and they didn't budge where as Deontay as absolutely iced them. Scary to think although Haye was probs wearing bigger gloves in sparring.
  2. 5am the main fight should be on so think I will set the alarm for 4.30. Definitely an interesting match up can't pick a winner.
  3. I'm losing touch with all the channels and streams boxing is now on. I used to like ringside every thursday on sky but now it's online podcast seems to confuse things a bit. Didn't even know Taylor was fighting and he's quality. ?
  4. I'll be watching Frampton Warrington for sure. Whyte vs chisora should never be box office IMO, although there first fight was good I don't think it should be pay per view in a million years
  5. Fair play , that's a reasonable price then. Must be because of the mickey mouse cup that there isn't a lot more, Or that they are not opening the dolman for this reason.
  6. The vixens get a bigger crowd at stoke Gifford ??
  7. You're not the only one not going as the stadium looks empty Is this because it's not a league match and the ticket prices to high
  8. Yes I suppose you are correct when you break it down like that. 500,000 a year seems a lot for rugby, how times have changed I can remember it being amateur and seeing top level players pissed right up in the Chinese after a match on a Saturday. Those were good days cheap to get in I'm a cherry and whites man
  9. I'm not sure if it's been mentioned on here before yet but TF has done a really good interview with Joe Rogan that's worth listening to.
  10. Wow 500,000 grand a year for hughes. He's a good player but that's a serious amount of money. Bristol will blow everyone away with spending like that. The man city of rugby. SL must prefer rugby I reckon
  11. Cheeseman a good fighter. Let's hope he's got a good chin with his walk forward style. I always thought Froch was a ko waiting to happen when he first was boxing on the BBC, turns out he had one of the best chins ever and you need that with Cheeseman a style. Cheeseman not a light puncher
  12. I'm looking forward to Cheeseman vs byfield the most , should be a good fight I think
  13. McGregory is a huge draw still, even though he's not the best fighter out there. His personality just sells fights and they become massive shows, with the Sinead O'Connor music and all the plastic paddy getting hard on's over him. Since he sold out fighting mayweather, I now tune in to see him get beaten. That's a good thing for a fighter though because you're watching either way and he's getting paid, not that he needs it. What I will say and much admiration for him that he doesn't duck any challenges, worth 100m and still getting in there taking on the best.
  14. I was impressed by you're fans today, definitely noisier than those blades cheese nutty lot and that's even before you started winning. We should have been out of sight by half time though imo.
  15. Yeah good luck to him Make hay while the sun shines
  16. I thought Rocky was a bit of a puncher. I thought Ryder was unlucky not to get the decision against fielding or maybe my judgement was clouded by the wager I had on it . Obviously not in Canelos league though
  17. I agree Stortz, Dark trade is a must for every fight fan I think, a brilliant book. I've got his new one a man's world just can't get into it at the moment. War baby was good too, the G man has always intrigued me. I shall bare the other two in mind especially as I've read all the four kings autobiographys, bar Hagler, who's up there with the best fighters ever Imo.
  18. I've always loved reading about boxing, more than any other sport I think. These are two cracking books ive read recently, just thought i would share it on here.
  19. I'm not saying Groves quit but he looked like he possibly could have fought on. I'm just wondering about his mental state after causing such damage to Eduard gutnecht, surely it must play on you're mind when he's in there and on the receiving end. Now he's a young dad and achieved all he has maybe it's best to call it a day with his health intact.
  20. Billie jos and fury both failed tests and they both look like they train down the pub. Drugs are rife in boxing as the testing not as stringent as in other sports imo. I've heard plenty of rumours about cutting weight etc. Most of them just know how to pass and about the timing of when to take stuff. I do love boxing though don't want to knock it. Just don't trust a lot of what I'm seeing.
  21. I love boxing but it's so bent it's untrue.Looks like joshua vs whyte again then. I can't think of any other sport where the best can avoid each other, more a business and Eddie Hearn is doing a cracking job of that. AJ selling out stadiums fighting the likes of Takam
  22. Think he'd beat whyte. Although I've a lot of respect for him. Probably not Fury or wilder.
  23. He boxed well to be fair. After the first round and finished well , showed good heart again.
