Regarding the confrontations in the park afterwards.
    oh the irony!
Had the game kicked off at 3pm it would’ve been pitch black in the park at 5pm and no one would’ve been able to see anyone, let alone fight anyone.

t’s not like there’s anything that that would cast light on the front bit of the park like street lights or a stadium.

I'm still amazed at home many people go mental when the opposition take a corner and the ball is right on the edge of the quadrant. Some people are literally bursting a blood vessel shouting the ball is outside the quadrant. Even if the ball was 1 metre outside it literally makes no difference to what happens ?

This annoys me as well - as so many fans don’t seem to understand the rule that the ball only has to be overhanging the quadrant.

Dont condone it at all, but players HAVE to start being booked when deliberately goading the oppo fans when scoring. There is celebrating in front of them, then there is the pr1ck today and against Huddersfield .  Stamp that out and the throwing will stop.

In some cases, yes but why are some fans so precious that they feel they have to throw something if someone celebrates in front of them? How is that a normal reaction.

There’s a thread on their forum discussing the possibilities of sharing with us , fgr and Chippenham just so they can get some home revenue. I think in a couple weeks we’ll be in the same position.

I think that's possible. I find it weird in these situations over the past year or so that the first step isn't to stop away fans travelling before going behind closed doors. Given the infection rates in London and that our next few games are an away game close to London and two London based teams at home, that surely can't be good for stopping the spread of the variant?

Quite, but then don’t create a situation where this happens, you get booked for celebrating in front of the opposition fans for a reason… Thomas was being a ***** and goading, then some reacted.

Oh for gods sake. Fans gave him some earlier for an incident, he gives some back and then some precious little idiots decide to to throw things. Don’t give it out if you can’t take it.

If they didn’t piss all the licence fee money on overpaid presenters they may have had a chance?

Highest salary at the BBC 1.3m

Total cost of Premier League rights over 3 years - 4.5bn.

Would love to see your maths.

Well, as far as the BBC are concerned woman’s football is more important!

Yeah because the BBC could show the premier league live if it wasn’t for the women’s football ?

The url is somewhat clunky let's say, and seems to combine some post match reaction with this story but anyway...

What do we think? Worthy of prosecution- in the public interest, attempt at censorship? A complaint was made about a Holmesdale end banner basically and police are investigating.

Plus forgot to add, a sensible use of police resources?

Princes of the type you find in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states- well I'll choose my words carefully but it's fair to say they don't much care for criticism or being told 'no'.

Plus a statement by the HF.

I think it’s ridiculous that the police are investigating. Let’s hope it’s just that someone made a complaint and they have to be seen to be following up.

I did a quick search on "All lives matter" and it doesn't appear to be a racist slogan in any context. It appears to be a slogan used in criticism of the Black Lives Matter movement - which isn't beyond criticism.

It does say that All lives matter is associated with conservative values, I would say once again conservative values aren't even close to being racist. What I increasing see is that it is convenient for some to lump everyone on the right in the racist bucket to try and make them look like an extremist which ultimately means they don't want to be part of the conversation.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Lives_Matter

I don’t necessarily think it’s racist but it literally means the same as Black Lives Matter. Therefore using it is a bit stupid.

It isn't analogous. The context is the words were included on a banner stating what the group was, a message for a police Superintendent and this was displayed in BS1 by a group that was not exclusively white. This group cannot be perpetuating anything associated with racism, it’s quite the opposite. The group was multiracial.

There was no aid given to any racists. None. Bristol has no far-right groups of any significance. The racist oddballs in caves that there are would loathe knowing who bought the banner, their backgrounds, knowing they were not anything to do with the far-right.

Unfortunately, there are left wing groups who don't like it as well. There is your division. As Steve highlighted in the article.

As per the politics forum - there has been no evidence prevented that they were called far-right. They were called  ‘right wing’, which they can get offended about by all means. However, no one, despite mentioning it many, many times can actually seem to show anywhere that they were called far right - other than the reference to it on their banner.
