In addition, looks like the fence contractor (who was always said to be a Gas fan) has finally got sick of the blue few slating him: http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/11042/put-facts-forward
He's even named the company now so is being pretty transparent, but as usual a number have their fingers in their ears.
Even WAQ agreed they've not been paid but said the invoice was being disputed - but let's face it lots of little payments really does look more like a struggling business than a dispute...

From bradfordmeyerbriggs (http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/10985/mem-bod-etc-merged?page=36):
QuoteAn infrastructure and team capable of competing long term in the Championship. - Short term - Yes, Long term - No. I think long term a move to a new stadium has to happen to enable Rovers to keep growing. No good having an 18,000 stadium when there are 45+ thousand Gasheads potentially who would support Rovers in the Premier League if the dream was to happen.
Just deluded...

No but they're suing Wycombe in the hopes they'll fail instead

Was having a read of this old interview with Steve Lansdown: http://www.xtratimewest.co.uk/football-other-sports-rugby/bristol-sport-steve-lansdown-explains-his-vision-revamped-ashton-gate
This quote made me laugh:
QuoteLansdown’s Bristol antecedents are strong. He grew in Tockington and when he first went to watch football it was to stand on the Tote End at Eastville, the home of Bristol Rovers before they moved out of the city for a decade to become tenants at Bath City's Twerton Park ground. He said: “At that time, my son was six and wanted to go to football. One of my first clients was Des Williams, who was chairman of Bristol City. He gave me a couple of tickets and so I drifted into City.”Actually forced to watch Rovers initially - thankfully he then saw the light when given the tickets to see us.
Bet a number of Rovers fans imagine "what if" - if they actually had an owner with money...!

Even the Post have got in on the Gap action:
http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/october-28-important-bristol-city-1073
They'll be boycotting them now , just like the ever-so-successful Sainsburys boycott...

Another one with a 'soon to be' gashead in the family (sister's son in law 2 B) He's a decent lad, watches them a lot and has a good wind up with me. Guess who wants a ticket for the United game?
I sympathise, half my family are!
Funnily enough a number of them also like Man United...
Already told them if I can't go (operation on the day itself ) then they definitely aren't!

They maybe in denial mode on their forum, but on the book of face they are having a total meltdown. It's apparently City's "fault" that they drew Man Utd just so they could rub it in to the Sags.
Anyway, Man Utd will apparently be playing their C string side in this Mickey Mouse Cup which City are "suddenly bothered about", and even though they won't be watching if it is on Sky they know the "gloating Teds" are gonna get murdered.
If you think about it, if they'd beaten Wolves because of the alphabetical order they'd have got us at Ashton Gate instead of us having Crystal Palace.
Then if they'd beaten us like they're so sure they can, they'd have had our number in the draw again I imagine due to alphabetical order - so poor old Man Utd would have had to play at the Mem!
I've used this to wind up the few Gasheads I know

They’re will be loads of Gas trying to get a ticket given the majority of them all seem to support 2 teams
To be fair, they have to if they actually want to see something better than a Sunday pub team...

Don't you mean the 4/5/6th goal? No way are they only letting 1 goal in!

QuotePost by puregas on 6 minutes agoJust got back. Certainly won't be up there with the one of the great trips!
To be losing 4-0 and having 'you're just embarrassing' sung to you by about 100 spotty teenagers with a drum, in a stadium that looks like it was contsructed out of corrugated plastic on a wet Sunday morning, was, quite frankly, humiliating. Can't believe they've got the cheek to take the p*ss out of someone else's stadium!

Absolute scum of the earth - they make us laugh but they're really embarrassing to share a city with.
Couldn't be an Oxford fan btw someone who queried it - they said Rovers fans were inside and Oxford tried to enter, she left from inside and came back inside after so very unlikely to be Oxford...
And let's face it, they're in the habit of doing it - poor bloody horse, hope it gave the moronic sag a big bite or kick!

The fact someone posted on the Bristol Post article about away fans opinion of Ashton Gate: http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/away-fans-reveal-what-really-619372
Quote"Cramped for those that bring a large following" reds fear of being out sung
About the back of the Atyeo when they've got that dank alleyway says a lot about their delusions...
So does the one who said:
QuoteIt's a tarted up cow shed built for the Rugby
Ours is a redeveloped modern football ground that can also support rugby as it's got a state-of-the-art pitch.
Theirs really was a rugby club's ground (that they stole) that is now so run down farm animals would refuse to enter (never mind horses!)...

So when we signed their top scorer in January someone actually sent a death threat to Johnson's home address. So classy.
Well we didn't have a supermarket they could boycott (not that they could afford the one they did boycott!) so guess when you've that few brain cells there's nothing else you can think of...
Forever glad I was born a Red...

Yep lovely fans and the threat to capacity is just funny - they'd have to reduce it below 8k to actually have any impact on the number of people there (and so their behaviour and crowding).
To be fair if they restrict capacity it'll be a good, moral thing to do - means less people have to suffer watching that shower...

Someone's pointed out the obvious (maybe one of ours winding up Henbury?):
Post by harleygas on 5 hours ago
Yeah he could buy us under someone else and fold us up with his loose change. It's a nice thought - maybe Wael is one of his bankers just building up their hopes to crush them SL if you're looking for a present for our 125th anniversary...
-
 yep he's in a dream world... I'm just hoping it's irony otherwise he really is that dumb.
Maybe someone should show them the "Lansdown's Millions" thread - to point out that even if we lost tens of millions this year, our owner has more than enough on hand to deal with it...
Indeed as some people on that forum have pointed out - that amount of money (or the money to build the UWE stadium) is a rounding error (and definitely less than the interest!) on his fortune...
-
Really hope this is irony...

It really is like a comedy sketch show.
Since the AQs took over and they've been unbearably cocky about "we're getting a brand new stadium, you're just redeveloping your rubbish ground" etc., more so than they've usually been.
UWE being cancelled and the fun we've had since - any other team you might feel sorry for them, but with the stuff they come out with (and how they acted in 82) I honestly can't think of a team that deserves it more...
