Thanks for that information - I had always assumed they both went to South Street. I think it may have been me that referred to Bishopsworth Junior school (now St Peters) losing 11-1 to South Street. I did not play in the game, but my best friend marked Chris Garland (very badly it would seem).

Didn't Geoff Merrick and Chris Garland both go to South Street primary.

How can you possibly know that "his stock will never be higher". If he gets the expected move to the Premier, and has a good season then his stock will most certainly be higher than it is now.

I remember watching Ollie Watkins in the 2017 play off final for Exeter and thinking that he would never make at Championship level. At the time I was pleased that he signed for Brentford instead of City.

Don't understand your reasoning here Dave. Surely if a player gets a red card against Man City - there wont be a problem because he can serve the suspension in the next round(s) after we beat them.

I think he scored 1 goal in a win at Oldham (live on TV) but was left out of the next game for the slow Sean McCarthy. Was miffed and went off to play for Grenada. Given his career after that not a great decision by John Ward.

May be my bad memory but i did not think we played them in the lower leagues. Did not play them because they were relegated when we were promoted, and vice versa the following year.

Surely the flat fences at Wembley are a danger then. If they are difficult to climb over, then they would be even more of a barrier in an emergency.

It will be very interesting to see how many of the Scunthorpe team start the first game in the National League next season - my guess is less than half.
